Prince Watercress: "The Site"

Top: after completing the Seaside Kingdom's plotline in Super Mario Odyssey, the sun is seen setting for the rest of the game in that location.

Bottom: the fact that the game contains maps for every kingdom reveals that the direction in which the sun sets here is not correct. Here, Mario's orientation in the top picture is seen on the map, showing that he is looking north/north-northwest instead of west as would be expected for a sunset.

While the sun was put in that location clearly because it is the most visible spot in the sky in that kingdom, this can also be interpreted as the sun not following Earth rules in Mario's world, and setting in the north instead.

In most video games, a boss is counted as defeated (its status as beaten is saved to the save file) when the game resumes gameplay after the cutscene that follows upon defeating it. However, in Wario World, the very frame that a boss's health reaches 0, this is already saved to the save file. As such, it is possible to open the pause menu, exit out of the level before the victory cutscene, and still enjoy the reward of defeating the boss.

In the footage, Greenfist (the boss of Greenhorn Forest) loses his last hit point, and the player immediately exits out of the stage, whereupon the next level opens up (showing that this actually counted).

What is particularly notable about this is that the exact same exploit (only with resetting instead of using the pause menu) exists in Wario Land 4, which handles defeating bosses in the same manner. The two games are on different consoles and in different engines, and have nothing in common outside of both being Wario platformers.
