what are your tips? i wanna be a producer but i always feel like my songs are lacking something

the only bad part is that no super happy or ig ‘normal’ situation leads to good song writing 🥹..usually.

there are definitely albums like eternal sunshine that are full of songs about finding peace and good energy that are written and made well BUT notice the songs about relationships, situations and sadder songs in the album and in general in the industry just tend to do better. so, my advice would be to think about situations that have happened to you and then think of a lyric about that thing, write it down and eventually string them all together !! also making a beat and then adding how the lyrics should sound (like humming in place of them) and then writing them down to flow with the music and beat works too.
