… human skinned wings were… err… hopefully that did not  stick in his mind… human skin wasn’t meant to fly. And… even if celestial wings weren’t reacting aerodynamically correct… or should be capable of flight, physically, they at least were not made of material completely unsuited. EW.

But well… now he asked. And the angel had to answer. Huh.

"Mh… that is indeed a very good question…" - he chuckled. It was one of the most natural things there is to any angel… but to a ‘human’ like him? Mmmh.

"First of all? You do it while you sit down, you don’t know how heavy they are… and falling on your wings is something you wish you hadn’t done after it happened” - so he would wait for the antichrist to sit down on the treetrunk, while he remained standing next to him… 

"… best you develop a feeling for them before you even try anything. Summoning them can be completely clean and painfree. But with the wrong image in your head, they can break from your back. I don’t recommend it. Remember that - however they look - they are already there. I don’t know if you rather believe in science or… magic? Ethereal things?” - it was essentially the same to the angel - “If it’s science: think of them being on a different wavelength… like ultrasonic waves, you can’t hear them but Dog can. Same goes with light… and - in some cases, like this - particles, it’s a bit of quantum-physics. You simply need to change the speed of their oscillation and they’ll be visible. Your nerve-ending will reform and reconnect and you can have an effect of the current surroundings you perceive…” - okay, if he DIDN’T like that explanation, this had been a bit of a waste of time.

"If it’s magic? They exist on another plane of existence and you channel their essence so it will be manifested here. This essence is associated with you at all time. Same thing. Just different wording. You don’t need to understand either. Imagining yourself with wings… even embracing the possibility that it is the case… or an intense with to fly… these all can be triggers. It might be you need a bit more, but for me it ‘flying’…” - but grey is all theory…

“But… to make it easier, and to actually make you believe you have them: you do feel them. Just more like you feel your liver… or your spleen… or your grace” - or… soul? He… was supposed to be human, right? Theoretically not, but… uhm… ah… good question. Ah well.  Later.

"You can feel them with the ache in your shoulders… or the stiffness of your neck. They are constantly connected to you… a part of you. sometimes there is something irking them on this other wavelength… or this other plane of existence… and you feel it through that, tugging at a part that is most connected with your body… or you feel it if this connection is touched and… well… now is probably the time to actually offer you this massage" - he shrugged.

And, oh great, theories. Raphael didn't just have one theory, he had 'theories'. Adam started to zone out at this bit. He caught the more important parts, but when it came to talking quantum-physics, no.His friend Wensleydale would have been a lot more interested in this side of the conversation. Even the magic bit was a bit boring. He got the general gist of it though, as he did in most his classes that he didn't find enough interest in.

Adam tilted his head at the angel, unable to keep back a perplexed smirk. Spleen? Liver? Did a human really feel those half the time? Maybe when they were pain....

Thinking it over, Adam let the silence linger on for a moment after Raphel had finished. Dog drifted back towards them, looking to his master to see what was going on.
