âThat would make the most sense wouldnât it? Everyone goes through it. It makes perfect sense to me.â He smiled, âbesides you need to catch up on the sleep you missed when you were younger and loathed sleeping.â He shrugged. âYour parents clearly missed the whole point,â he laughed.
âIâm sure itâs really who he prefers to be in his company, he would never speak such ways to other people. He can actually be incredibly polite when he wants to be.â He said softly. âWhen he has company he is nothing but laughter and jokes.â He continued, âI donât see the humour in any of them but.. They seem to all enjoy it and it appeases Darren and Ashton.â He shook his head and frowned. âPrince dummy.â He said slowly as he contemplated it. âNo.â He said with a mock look of distaste. âDoesnât suit you.â He laughed and nodded. âWhat an honour it is. I agree, I donât think that will work. Thank you for the offer though,â he smiled. âI think I will be okay.â He said shrugging. âThatâs alright, they donât have too do that. No these cloths would still be the better option at this point.â He said. Elan raised his eyebrows with a chuckle. âA hundred? How did I miss that?â He said, âso we must be a little close?â Elan continued. âI have to admit it did a little.â He joked. Elan didnât think it would work at all before, how could water help? He thought except for when he was desperately thirsty and could finally get a drink after hours and hours of work, he nodded. âI do try too, I think I can say I have become very skilled in that area to some extent.â
âI suppose thatâs true and logical reasoning. Just how many fond insults do you have?â He asked. âOh well Iâm happy to hear that really.. I have only been here less than a night, I would think I wouldnât earn an insult so fast.â Elan laughed and nodded âthe best? Are you positive? I think I know plenty of people who will argue for that title.â Elan let out a sigh, âI know.. I know you wouldnât take offense.â He smiled. âIâm sorry..I didnât.â He said stumbling over his words till he smiled and shrugged it off. âThank you.â He frowned frustrated with himself.. âYou will?â He asked, he had already gotten into a fight with eoin before and did not wish to get into another, he could recall it easily. âWait.. A whole room?â He asked. âSo is that a closet still?â He asked confused. What was a closet technically? Elan smiled happily. âI appreciate that.. I could use some good company.âhe said patting eoin gently on the shoulder.
"I think they are always worth trying to explore.â He said simply. âItâs worth trying to see from another view.â He said softly. He had tried with his stepfather for a long while, maybe he could reason and try to understand.
âI believe you. It must be after all pely is.â He smiled. Illusions?â He questioned. "You can make illusions. That sounds brilliant, thatâs very impressive.â He smiled, âif you did make a large mistake I donât think you would only be known for that..â He responded. âWhat are they?â He asked. Surely they couldnât be that terrible, his kingdom was still standing and seemed to be doing well, from what he thought. Every kingdom had its problems he thought. âI canât see how it could hurt.â He smiled. Hope had gotten him through many difficult times in his life, in his most trying moments when hope was simply all he had, Elan nodded. âYou must have.. If you had magical documents, you will just have to try and discover it for yourself. It could be fun.â He shrugged.
âI hope I get there sooner rather than later.â He replied as he inspected more of the shower bottles. How could there be so many? He wondered. Which one was he supposed to use? He finally got comfortable in bed, he had tossed and turned a few more times adjusting to the new bed, his mind going over the events of that day eventually his mind cleared and he was off till a sound caused his eyes to snap open, no creaking or footsteps in the hall, a cry. Elan shot up stiffened in a familiar sickening alarm. The second cry sent him out of bed and stumbling over the sheets tangled around his feet and legs, could he be wrong? He thought frantically, not taking chances he hurried out of his room down the long empty hall. A nightmare. He thought, flashes from their earlier conversation ran through his head, is this why his friend didnât wish to sleep, frequent nightmares? He thought. He reached his friends door, not bothering to knock he opened the door walking quickly to his friends bed, Elan notices his arms were in the air, seeming to bat away his invisible terrors. His heart felt heavy in his chest as he watched his friend wanting to stop the nightmare. "eoinâ he said urgently. keeping his hands by his side, not wanting to cause further distress, âeoin wake up.â He said pleading this time a little louder, "wake up,â please wake up.â
âExactly. Itâs all a part of growing up.â he said with a nod, âItâs kinda funny though right? We hate sleeping as kids and yet weâre hyperactive, we love sleeping as teenagers and once weâre up we just wanna go back to sleep.â he chuckled, âThey really did.â
âJust because he can be charming when he wants to be doesnât make him a good person.â Eoin sighed, âI can be an adult when I have to be but well... That definitely doesnât make a an adult all of the time.â He shrugged, âI donât think Iâd wanna be at any of his parties. And I definitely wouldnât wanna be stuck at one with his sons.â heâd only seen them once or twice in passing, but it was enough for him. âNot Prince Dummy? Well, weâll just have to think of something else then, huh?â he asked lightly, âIt could... maybe, probably not, but hey, thatâs never stopped me from trying before.â he chuckled. âHmm... Iâm not sure I agree with that, but it doesnât matter too much, weâll have it all fixed by tomorrow.â he grinned. âWeâre definitely getting there,â he nodded, âSee, all of my ideas are just great, even when they seem a little odd.â Eoin nodded slightly, âWell, itâs always nice to be skilled.â
âOf course it is. The best kind of reasoning. Iâve got... At least a good couple of dozen.â he said with a nod, âSure, youâve climbed up the ranks pretty quickly all things considered.â he said with a grin. âWell, Iâm the one giving it out so Iâve decided who itâs going to.â Eoin cocked his head slightly, âReally? Cause Iâm not wholly sure you do. I mean come on, say something mean to me.â he said, beckoning him to with a âcome onâ gesture. âYou but your backside I will.â he added with a nod. âYea, but that wasnât my idea. The room has been the place for a Princeâs clothing since long before I was born.â Eoin grinned at the pat, it was nice to see Elan reaching out for him for a change. âWell, luckily for you Iâm good company.â
âThereâs nothing wrong with trying that...â he paused, âItâs only when youâve tried so hard but you still canât make sense of it that I say to stop. At that point itâs only gonna hurt you.â
âPely is unique, the first thing I every enchanted, completely by accident, and yet the spell has stuck. Better than any other spell Iâve really cast.â Eoin chuckled, âThose are pretty awesome. More than once Iâve snuck out and left behind an illusion of myself to convince my keeper I was there.â he said with a grin. âPfft, youâd be surprised, itâs a little like being in school, if you do stupid stuff itâll stick.â he nodded. âWell, there was Rhodri VII, he was known as Rhodri Soft-Sword... Because he grabbed a rubber sword on the way to battle... He didnât last too long in that fight.â he added wryly. âOh Iâm gonna keep looking for them, you never know what could turn up if you keep exploring.â
Eoin kept seeing things, he should have known he was asleep. He should have been able to separate himself by now. But during his visions, it was like everything else cleared away, all he could think about was the sights before him. He didnât hear Elan come in. He was still seeing disasters that were yet to come. Moaning at the sights and grasping at the air as he twisted and turned in the bed. âAros.... Na!â he mumbled quite Welsh. It was going to take more than the other talking to him to wake him up.
