I feel like grace was in such a rush to turn that ship around and hightail it back to rocky that he was indiscriminate about what data he sent back. just shoved it all into the beetle probes, just to realize ‘ok so 20% of that data is scientific breakthroughs to save the world……..80% me and rocky’s movie reviews. and I def forgot to delete the fifteen minute long dance off. hm.’

Love love love that Grace is staring at the "who would you die for?" line on his whiteboard right before Rocky shows up in his xenonite container. Yes hello here is someone so important to you that you would sacrifice your life for him. He's in a hamster ball on your doorstep and he's about to run into your spaceship and insult your house and wreck your shit. You would die for him in every lifetime, and only because of that do you end up living.

I think it'd be fun if one of the ways grace and rocky's vocabularies evolved around each other is they start specifying the meaning of everything they say. we already have question from rocky, which grace extrapolates off of with statement in turn, and then rocky picks up that too. but then it just keeps going. question, statement, declaration, warning, exclamation, clarification, etc etc etc. eventually it's just a constant thing at the end of every single sentence.

it goes so far that they end up just reinventing tone indication completely on accident without knowing it. every conversation is just "humans weird, offense." and "oh wow, you're soooo smart, sarcasm." and "grace like eridian infant, joke." and "you've very cool rocky, genuine." and "grace work impressive, affection."
