I think what I hate the most about King's Wonder Woman is just how cold and inhuman she is. Wonder Woman is defined by her empathy and love for others. Yes, she's a badass, but she's a badass who is firmly "diplomacy first, then fists". King's Diana pays lip-service to the idea, but she rarely shows actual empathy. Most of the time she's straight-up ignoring the ones who need her and only gets involved in the world's troubles for selfish reasons.
Where was she when the United States government was systematically hunting down, killing and locking up her Amazon sisters? In a cave, crying over the death of Steve Trevor for weeks.
What does she do once she has Lizzie? Drags her along to several hostile environments and almost gets her killed.
What's her reaction when the Wonder Girls try to help her with the Sovereign? Rebuff them because of a very egotistic atlas complex she suddenly has.
When she sees Clark/Superman imprisoned by the Matriarch, one of her oldest friends who looks like he's been through hell? She doesn't even ask if he's okay, or frees him immediately, she asks where Steve Trevor is. Because evidently, in King's mind Diana doesn't give a flying fuck about anyone who isn't Steve Trevor.
That's not to mention how she looks and sounds like an emotionless robot most of the time. The "No, thank you" bit got old after the second time she used it and it's not as epic as King thinks it is. Her face is constantly frozen in what is probably meant to be a wise and noble expression, but just seems icy and detached when it's the only expression we ever see from her.
My hater take is: don't waste a single second in TK's fourth world anything
