Primrose Everdeen

Finnick could hear the sound hidden in this boy's voice. he was used to hiding his souls so deeply in a bright smile or something charming. But the concern for a loved one, the pain, he knew that well. His blue eyes took in the figure. Far too young to feel the way that he would. While Finnick was a victor, the odair man felt more like a poster boy than anything else. He hadn't heard the news yet. But he had half a mind to push through all these people in order to ensure this knowledge. "No, mate." he started. "But I heard at least five. Anyone in particular?"

"I am fond of bitching people out," Finnick teased with a charming smile. Though his blue eyes lingered further on the girl with concern. As much as he tried to hide his heart under a bushel, the odair boy always cared for people particularly younger people in the clutches of the machine of the capitol he had undergone. Anyone could get cagey in this underground tomb tat promised their freedom. He longed for his rope. For his wife. The blonde had yet to figure her out yet, but he would. Secrets and people were his recipe. "Well, I am glad to see you taking care of yourself and safe, love, but I do not understand the fuss. Unless there is something deeper lingering."

It was a day a thousand dreams would die and a thousand would be reborn. A hand ran the length of his blonde hair back. Movement had always been helpful to relocate his mind. Finnick Odair knew what it was to be a charmer. Sure, district 13 wasn't exactly the colorful stage that he had practice being on. His heart was heavy, but it was hidden behind a wall. He liked to be memorable and figure people out. His smile was warm as it claimed his mouth and pulled heavily at the edges of his mouth. But they were fighting for freedom. With cat like grace, his feet kissed the ground on the way to the handsome figure. "I suppose the lovely sight makes it worth it, pretty boy. But I do miss the sunshine. Finnick Odair, at your service."

Gale made a smile pull on her world weary lips. Her dark orbs rolling fondly at his over protective teasing. She may never have been gifted a brother, but Gale was more then good enough to fit the role. just his presence made her feel safe. He even still smelled like the woods in twelve after so long in the dark, underground of district 13. even at her middle age, the Everdeen girl wanted to be impressive to the hunter. To impress him with her wit and capability. but more, because he seemed to worry just as much as her sister. "If by trouble, you mean that they continue to forget bodies are breakable, then yes, Solider Hawthorne. But even if it's hard for you to believe, I can stick up for myself... most of the time." Prim teased though she hoped the weight on her shoulders didn't show as he asked. Gale may act obtuse with emotions, but he could read people quite well. "I should be helping you. I'm not sure any of us are safe, but I try to be an optimist. Having you here makes me feel better"

Gale studied her for a moment with a friendly smile warming his features realizing Primrose had stopped being a child many years ago. They were grown, living a life as fully as one could in these circumstances. Had Prim a capital education the hunter knew they would've earned a doctorate to become a physician. The boy of the valley, the one who hunted to keep a family fed and then later put on a uniform of the people he hated to keep those he loved alive saw more. It was the flash of recognition that while devoted to the care of others Prim had not been in a situation she needed to fight for her life, to kill but he saw flickers of katniss in her hair, tastes of the district they had all called home and a need to survive. He had confidence if it was the absolute last resort even this Everdeen could claw their way out. "I know. I know. I still ask the same over my siblings - grown but they will always be my babes. I am glad I could help make you feel better. Me? Planning, training, helping others find their place. We will be safe one day I promise, no matter what happens to your family you are part of mine and I won't leave you behind."

There was something about elder siblings that made you always a younger one. A child in their eyes, but Gale always treated her more capable than Katniss did. Warmth was good in this place. District 13 was the closest to relief and hope. And yet, it felt like a beautifully dressed up coffin. Still, she could do something good here. Something helpful. Though, the brunette worried that she might not be able to really help those around her. People in the hob had less options. And ironically, they seemed to need less mending than this war torn safe haven had. Ironically, part of the reason she had stayed alive while Katniss was in the games was his company and the food he brought him. There seemed to be less broken pieces of the boy. Like the bone in him hadn't been set right, but had been twisted into place. More than anything, the Everdeen wished she was like her sister. that she had her bravery and stubbornness and seeming inability to doubt herself. My babes. How odd to find joy in the cool kiss of belonging. Every rose had thorns. If the capitol plucked petals, they'd get it driven up a vital organ enough to draw blood. "Well, I seem to be neck deep in blood and gore most of the time. Please try to keep your recruits from injuring themselves. I know its war, but I have treated enough gun wounds from friendly fire. How do you- Your like a big brother to me so I will be real. How do you it? swim upstream like this trying to bring others with you. My optimism is still present, but I fear the leaking of joy."

It could help her to stop death and despair and gave her something that she could understand. Cressida was young and beautiful. It grieved her what she had to see. But it was hope for the future. For what could be done. Concern knitted her brow but the middle aged woman sent a small smile the girl's way. Shot himself was something. "Right," the word set her into motion. A soft sigh. And you. It was good to be needed considering she was not Katniss Everdeen. "Thank you for coming to me. I am Primrose or Prim. My mom had a thing for flowers. Do you which part of the med bay they took him too?"

Melody knew a fellow Victor when she saw one. Maybe vases who weren't exactly set right had a way of seeing the beauty in one another. Yet, the dark current underbelly in her still spoke of fight especially with the yelling. Medical knowledge was something she passingly had. But if it would aid in silence, the blonde would get into motion. "You are very pretty and have a point, but I am not the one you have a bone to pick with. Do you want help or to linger in misery?because the later can be surprisingly fun."

jenny boyd . cis woman . she / her ➶ did you see them ?! they were a spectator  during the 94th games, and you know they were one of my favourites ! it’s melody ward  , the twenty three year old winner of the ninetieth hunger games! they brought great honour to district four and escaped to thirteen during the 94th games ! the world just loved them for being so funny, even if they have been known to be hardened to the world at times . 

"Well," Primrose started with a barely contained smile. It was the natural form of her mouth even if she was in thirteen and war happened. It just reminded her so much of her older sister and some of the disdain that rang through her features about this situation. Being a sweeter side didn't stop a girl from having her edges. "I can definitely take a punch and a strong word or two. But I would like to help you? If it helps, I am from district 12. I don't love this underground 'paradise'."
