i’ve been the worst at being on because tbh i’ve been reading great expectations and doing essays on it. it’s been years since i read it and its still like hard to not go back and reread parts? it’s kinda boring so give me something more interesting to think about

not to - as joe would say - “nerd out” on you, but great expectations is fascinating. i try to imagine it more like it’s being told to me by an old person instead of just reading a really boring book because while it’s painful in parts to trudge through, miss havisham is one of the coolest characters i’ve ever come across. (i was homeschooled, so.) the whole concept of her walking around her wedding dress is fucking chilling, if you ask me. she’s basically like a creepy witch in a haunted mansion. and there’s estella and then the freaky thing with the clocks and then the way they walk around in the dark with candles… it’s scary as fuck. 

it’s honestly one of my favorites. it’s some messed up conceptual like modpodge of crazy but it’s so interesting to me idk i’m amazed it’s been so long since i’ve read it
