Β we do the same thing weβve always done. we make a better world.Β // ind.prv.sel. power girl aka kara zor-l from dc comics. portrayed by bells.
love how dinah fights like a woman, probably her mom, taught her to, using mostly her legs and putting more strength behind them, while helenaβs style focuses more on upper body strength and sheer overpowering, which makes sense because she was taught how to fight by three buff guys. meanwhile renee fights like a cop whoβs been through some shit and knows how to fight dirty, and harleyβs natural creativity and willingness to improvise shows in her fighting style, in addition to her gymnastic background. itβs just cool the detail put into each of their styles.

Helena thought this was going to be a standard kill. The manβs driver knew something about the Bertinelli hit, and that meant that he had to die βafter giving up his information of course.
But that opinion changes when she sees someone else running after her target. Helena swings down from her hiding spot and runs; if she goes for her motorcycle she might lose them.
Her old target forgotten, she points her crossbow at the figure.Β βWho the hell are you?β
Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β annaΒ wasΒ Β slowly making peace with her abilities in the pursuit of her first target. Was she truly capable of putting them to good use, or would she only make Gotham worse? Should she wear a mask? What if someone at her day job found out?Β
Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β The fledgeling vigilante yelped when she was confronted - hardly a good start to her career. Anna cleared her throat.Β Β
Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β β Β Oh - me? Uh, hi - Iβm Anna! I was just - on a stroll. Thought I might, you know, take a detour. As one does. Nothing to see, here. β
She didnβtΒ quite know what to Β make of this, to be honest. But the other woman didnβtΒ seem like a threat, only an obstacle, so Helena sighed and shouldered Β her crossbow.Β βWhy were you chasing him?β she demanded, tone flat. Christ, but she does not have time for this.Β βTell me the truth.β
@preyhntressβΒ | starter call.Β
βΒ Β I take it your GothamβsΒ newest vigilante.Β βΒ The city happens to be flooded with them, much to the chagrin of the Batman. As for Diana, she delights in the smile spreading across her face. β I hear they call you Huntress.Β β Of course Diana knows her as the Crossbow Killer. A little white lie never hurt anyone though, right?Β
Itβs nice to be recognized. Helena allows herself to smile -of course she knows who Wonder Woman is.Β βThatβs me,β she says, hoping she sounds confident and not, well, awkward. But who wouldnβt be speechless, in the presence of a literal GODDESS?Β βItβs nice to meet you, maβam. Uh. Wonder Woman.β She extends a gloved hand, hoping she hasnβt made too much of an idiot out of herself just yet.
@the-bctmanβ said: β Sometimes human places create inhuman monsters. β
βItβs really that bad?β Helena doesnβt like being lectured to, but the Batman has been around longer than she or the Birds, so when he came to her proposing a team up, she didnβt kick him out immediately, especially because Dinah was still in Singapore. So here she is, with her hood not entirely blocking out the cool wind. Below them, Arkham Asylum looms menacing, as alarms flare red in the otherwise quiet night. Jailbreak. She wonders, idly, if Harley Quinn has anything to do with it.Β βFine.β She reaches into her jacket pocket and places her eye mask on.Β βReady when you are.β
ink7blotβ:
I donβt know who needs to hear this, but donβt be racist during the COVID-19 scare.
My momβs friend was out shopping when a (very not asian) woman came up and started berating her for not wearing a mask. Asian businesses in my area are suffering. Some people are refusing to interact with anyone who looks Asian.
Asian-Americans have been through racism already. Weβre fucking sick of it. Weβre not flea-infested rats; we are actual people who most likely have never been to China.
And if youβre not Asian and see someone being racist and giving a poor schmuck a hard time for having squinty eyes and dark hair, tell them to knock it off and theyβre being a butt.

* ( Β THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE / Β SENTENCE PROMPTS.
These may have been edited for clarity or length or to better apply for roleplaying.
βΒ I wish you would have told me. β
βΒ You didnβt tell your sisters what you saw. β
βΒ Some things canβt be told. You live them or you donβt. β
βΒ Iβm sorry. β
βΒ Mom says that a house is like a body. β
βΒ All this time we tried to get into this room, now we canβt get the fuck out! β
βΒ She saved me. β
βΒ I donβt feel anything. β
βΒ Iβm scared. Thatβs all I am. β
βΒ Thereβs nothing left. Iβm only scared. β
βΒ Itβs just a house. β
βΒ Itβs very different in the night. Itβs different in the dark. β
βΒ What if I dream that you kill us? β
βΒ Do you think thereβs a thing worse than that? β
βΒ I donβt think thereβs anything worse than that. β
βΒ Did you just punch me in the boob? β
βΒ Someone ask you what you think? β
βΒ Iβm so proud of you. Youβre doing so well. β
βΒ Keep it up. β
βΒ Iβm glad youβre here. β
βΒ I should have made more of an effort with you. β
βΒ You tried as best you could. β
β I should have met you halfway. β
βΒ People fuck up. β
βΒ I guess you donβt get that, you donβt really get it until you fuck up. β
βΒ You like to fix things. β
βΒ Youβre good at fixing things. I keep hearing this about you, is that right? β
βΒ Iβm not so sure anymore. β
βΒ Who do you think did this? β
βΒ Itβs not as bad as it is in your head. β
βΒ Most of what people say at a funeral is a wish. β
βΒ Now you stand there and you talk about ghosts and spirits. β
βΒ Is she okay? β
βΒ How do you know that? β
βΒ Itβs a twin thing. β
βΒ This house is bad. β
βΒ These will help with the cold. β
βΒ What are you, um, looking at? β
βΒ She fucking knew better. And she did it anyway. β
βΒ Weβre tougher than other kids. β
βΒ We make ourselves really safe. And no one ever gets in. β
βΒ Just because you care about them doesnβt mean they wonβt burn you. β
βΒ Youβre scared. I can tell. β
βΒ Be sure to let your imagination get the best of you. Thatβs the first step. β
βΒ Imagine the worst thing possible. Assume itβs true. Then go from there. β
βΒ Iβm drawing boundaries, which is something you should look in to. β
βΒ How long do we have to live here? β
βΒ When we die, we turn into stories; and every time someone tells one of those stories, itβs like weβre still here for them. β
βΒ Weβre all stories in the end. β
βΒ I love you completely, and you loved me the same. The rest is confetti. β
βΒ Someone shouldβve told her she didnβt have to try this hard. β
βΒ Pandas donβt eat macaroni. β
βΒ And Iβm just- Iβm just floating in this ocean of nothing, and I wonder if this is it, if this is what death is. β
βΒ Journeys end in lovers meeting. β
βΒ Iβve seen a lot of ghosts. Just not the way you think. β
βΒ To learn what we fear is to learn who we are. β
βΒ Horror defies our boundaries and illuminates our souls. β
βΒ A ghost can be a lot of things. A memory, a daydream, a secret. β
βΒ When youβre little, you learn how to see things that arenβt there. And when you grow up, you learn how to make them real. β
βΒ Fear and guilt are sisters. β
βΒ No live organism can continue to exist sanely under conditions of absolute reality. β
βΒ Most times, a ghost is a wish. β
βΒ All I could think of when I got a look at the place from the outside was what fun it would be to stand out there and watch it burn down. β
βΒ Fear is the relinquishment of logic, the willing relinquishing of reasonable patterns. β
βΒ I feel a little clearer just now. β
βΒ I feel like Iβve been here before. β
βΒ You have to live. β
βΒ I donβt know how to do this without you. β
βΒ Thereβs no without. I am not gone. β
βΒ Iβm scattered into so many pieces, sprinkled on your life like new snow. β
βΒ Thereβs so much I want to say to you all. β
βΒ Iβm so sorry our last words were in anger. β
βΒ Iβm sorry if I didnβt listen, and Iβm sorryβ¦ β
βΒ It wouldnβt have changed anything. β
βΒ I loved you completely. And you loved me the same. β
βΒ What were you feeling before? β
βΒ I was feeling fear. Andβ¦ And guilt. β
* ( Β LITTLE WOMENΒ / Β SENTENCE PROMPTS.
These may have been edited for clarity or length or to better apply for roleplaying.
βΒ Donβt try to make me grow up before my time. β
βΒ Love is a great beautifier. β
βΒ I never wanted to go away, and the hard part now is leaving you all. β
βΒ Iβm not afraid, but it seems as if I should be homesick for you even in heaven. β
βΒ If I didnβt care about doing right and didnβt feel uncomfortable doing wrong, I should get on capitally. β
βΒ When we make little sacrifices we like to have them appreciated, at least. β
βΒ Donβt mind me. Iβm as happy as a cricket here. β
βΒ You donβt need scores of suitors. You need only one, if heβs the right one. β
βΒ Love casts out fear, and gratitude can conquer pride. β
βΒ I am lonely, sometimes, but I dare say itβs good for me. β
βΒ When you feel discontented, think over your blessings, and be grateful. β
βΒ Let us be elegant or die! β
βΒ Hearts, like flowers, cannot be rudely handled, but must open naturally. β
βΒ I do think that families are the most beautiful things in all the world! β
βΒ Be worthy love, and love will come. β
βΒ Oh, my girls, however long you may live, I never can wish you a greater happiness than this! β
βΒ The sincere wish to be good is half the battle. β
βΒ The humblest tasks get beautified if loving hands do them. β
βΒ I want to do something splendid before I go into my castleβsomething heroic, or wonderfulβthat wonβt be forgotten after Iβm dead. β
βΒ I think I shall write books, and get rich and famous; that would suit me, so that is my favorite dream. β
βΒ Donβt cry so bitterly, but remember this day, and resolve with all your soul that you will never know another like it. β
βΒ Iβd rather take coffee than compliments just now. β
βΒ Be comforted, dear soul! There is always light behind the clouds. β
βΒ I donβt like to doze by the fire. β
βΒ I like adventures, and Iβm going to find some. β
βΒ I like good strong words that mean something. β
βΒ Because they are mean is no reason why I should be. β
βΒ I hate such things, and though I think Iβve a right to be hurt, I donβt intend to show it. β
βΒ Conceit spoils the finest genius. β
βΒ Watch and pray, dear, never get tired of trying, and never think it is impossible to conquer your fault. β
βΒ I am angry nearly every day of my life. β
βΒ Iβm not afraid of storms, for Iβm learning how to sail my ship. β
βΒ For love casts out fear, and gratitude can conquer pride. β
βΒ I keep turning over new leaves, and spoiling them. β
βΒ I make so many beginnings there never will be an end. β
βΒ Some people seemed to get all sunshine, and some all shadow. β
βΒ I donβt pretend to be wise, but I am observing, and I see a great deal more than youβd imagine. β
βΒ Iβm interested in other peopleβs experiences and inconsistencies, and, though I canβt explain, I remember and use them for my own benefit. β
βΒ Iβm not like the rest of you; I never made any plans about what Iβd do when I grew up. β
βΒ I never thought of being married. β
βΒ I wish I had no heart, it aches so. β
βΒ Wouldnβt it be fun if all the castles in the air which we make could come true and we could live in them? β
βΒ Youβre an angel! How shall I ever thank you? β
βΒ I have nothing to give but my heart so full and these empty hands. β
βΒ Take some books and read; thatβs an immense help; and books are always good company if you have the right sort. β
βΒ Life and love are very precious when both are in full bloom. β
βΒ I could have been a great many things. β
βΒ Talent isnβt genius, and no amount of energy can make it so. β
βΒ I want to be great, or nothing. β
βΒ If we are all alive ten years hence, letβs meet, and see how many of us have got our wishes, or how much nearer we are then than now. β
βΒ You have grown abominably lazy, and you like gossip, and waste time on frivolous things. β
βΒ I hate ordinary people! β
βΒ Now and then, in this workaday world, things do happen in the delightful storybook fashion, and what a comfort that is. β
βΒ You are like a chestnut burr, prickly outside, but silky-soft within, and a sweet kernel, if one can only get at it. β
βΒ Love will make you show your heart someday, and then the rough burr will fall off. β
βΒ Weβll all grow up, no pretending we wonβt. β
βΒ If I didnβt care about doing right and didnβt feel uncomfortable doing wrong, I should get on capitally. β
βΒ I canβt help seeing that you are very lonely, and sometimes there is a hungry look in your eyes that goes to my heart. β
βΒ Love covers a multitude of sins. β
βΒ It takes people a long time to learn the difference between talent and genius, especially ambitious young men and women. β
βΒ But, like all happiness, it did not last long. β
βΒ I do think that families are the most beautiful things in all the world! β
βΒ How happy and good weβd be, if we had no worries! β
βΒ I think we are all hopelessly flawed. β
βΒ Whereβs the use of looking nice, when no one sees me but those cross midgets, and no one cares whether Iβm pretty or not? β
βΒ Nothing remained but loneliness and grief. β
βΒ I donβt think secrets agree with me, I feel rumpled up in mind since you told me that. β
βΒ Nothing seemed impossible in the beginning. β
@preyhntressβββΒ liked for a starter.
βEugh..β Jenna grimaces at the bloody power tool in her hand, βborrowedβ and now returned with a burnt out motor and clogged in some thugβs visera, ββ¦You owe me a drill.βΒ
βSORRY.β Helena shrugs, not particularly sorry, but she doesnβt want to lose Jennaβs...friendship? Allyship? Helena doesnβt really know what consists of friendship, given her upbringing. She flashes what she hopes is a charming smile and fishes some cash out of her jacket.Β βThis enough to cover it?β
unless we all wanna die very unpleasant deaths and let roman go finger-fishing in the kidβs intestinal tract, weβre gonna have to work together.
