genre: fluff, a smidge of angst (oops)
warnings: brief panic attack, themes of ptsd, mention of endgame and Tonyâs death
summary: a nice day in with your boyfriend Peter turns a bit sour when he has a flashback, but youâre always there for him
a/n: I was asked for fluff and it got a tad angsty. This was somewhat based on my own marvel story and one of the characters I made to go into that, thus the moodboard (made by me, pls donât steal it). Also itâs hinted the the reader is an Avenger with Peter and was at the final battle against Thanos. Hope you enjoy this. :)

The two teenagers lounged on Peterâs bed hoping to just have a lazy Saturday in with each other. The day was perfect with the no responsibilities and the sun coming perfectly into the window. Both teenagers had needed this break from school especially after what happened to Tony and the other Avengers.Â
Peter was running his hands through y/n's hair absentmindedly when he suddenly stopped. y/n could feel how his breathing had changed and how his body stiffened coinciding with the sudden stop of the movement. They raised their head from Peterâs lap to gaze down at the boy. His eyes looked far away, almost hazed over, and his breathing had seemed to quicken.
âHey,â y/n reached their hand out to snap Peter out of his inevitable panic. âYou ok?â They squeezed his shoulder to let him know they were listening and that they were there. He shifted his body towards them, obvious tears in his eyes.
âIâm sorry,â he whispered as they squeezed his shoulder again. âOne second I was here, with you, and the next I was back at that battle. I canât explain it. It was like - I could - Iâm sorry.â y/n pulled Peter to their chest and kissed his head.
âItâs totally ok if you canât explain all of your feelings Pete. I understand the pressure of this.â They say, referring to the battle and to being a hero.
The teens stayed like that for a while, tangled with each other, silent tears falling down Peter's face after his brief panic.
By the time the sun set Peterâs tears had dried and both teens could hear their stomachs rumbling in hunger. They chuckled at each other when their stomachs got too loud to ignore. Despite what happened earlier their perfect lazy day was well spent basking in the otherâs presence. Life wasnât perfect, especially for them, but it definitely wasnât bad either.
