van zieks continues to be Incredibly Extra even by aa prosecutor standards
"autistic ryland grace" this, "autistic rocky" that, what about autistic eva stratt!? my mum walked out of the cinemas after watching it and immediately said to me, unprompted, "wow it's so cool to see autistic female representation in films" and honestly if she can recognise it, i believe everyone should be able to.
thinking about eva stratt as a history student before she was the world's scapegoat.....like yeah who else could it be but a historian and a middle school teacher to save the world??
"everyone is paying super close attention to everyone else all the time" actualy statistical error. hypervigilance georg, who enters fight or flight when someone starts breathing differently, is an outlier adn should not have been counted
#this one's for the people who hear 'people aren't paying that close attention to you! I mean do YOU pay that close of attention to them?'#and go: unfortunately yeah!!!!!!!#you are georg hope this helps. love u#hang in there one day u will be able to pay less attention all the time
The fastest way to accomplish The Project is to cease being afraid of The Project. The Project cannot maim you. The Project cannot kill you. The Project is more afraid of you than you are of it. It is okay if The Project turns out differently from how it was in your head, and it is okay if it has flaws. You are capable of engaging with The Project.

So I got slapped in the face with this idea at 3 in the morning, so I paid @lettuccine to make it a reality. Thanks again! Absolutely incredible!
shoutout to this anime-only extended scene. the animators really be finding any possible space where they could add more brushbuddy shenanigans and they are so correct for it
I honestly think Gen-Z and younger simply does not understand how recent widespread smartphone adoption is.
I am not that old, and I didn't have a smartphone until probably late high school. For most of my life, many if not most people were not walking around with a magic internet machine in their pocket that they pulled out and used constantly for everything.
reblog if you remember having to ration your text messages and accidentally opening the internet on your phone was the end of the world
How old were you when you got your first smartphone?

"Enough of this, Qifrey. The girls might not be able to tell when you're faking it but I damn well can!"
Qifrey glances over with a raise of his eyebrow that should be surprise, bemusement – except there it is again, the gap almost like the split-second delay in smoke sculptures cast by anyone but Beldaruit, and maybe even Olruggio wouldn't have been able to see it if he hadn't been around the first time Qifrey had been learning how to be a person.
But he was, and he can.
And Qifrey must know that too, because even if his face is lying his words aren't when he says, "Oh, I never doubted that for a moment."
The atelier stands lightless and quiet around them, night staining shadows across both of them and that's wrong too, he's never known Qifrey to tolerate darkness any more than he has to. It's all horribly wrong, the crackling of a spell about to go awry. "You found something at the Tower of Tomes this time, didn't you?"
He asks because he has to, he needs to know, but even then it's still a surprise to see Qifrey dip his head in a nod. "I suppose there's no harm saying it now. Not to me, at least." He pauses, and at least the curiosity doesn't seem feigned. "Are you quite sure you want to know? I won't be upset if you have to turn me in afterwards, rest assured."
"Qifrey," Olruggio grinds out between clenched teeth.
"Alright, alright. Dear stubborn Olly. I went because I was… drowning, from what I've had to do. I couldn't take it any longer, and the Tower saw that." Shadows, shifting as Qifrey finally turns to look at him properly. "Tell me, what do you know of Silverwood propagation? It's not a digression, I promise."
"Qifrey," Olruggio breathes. "Qifrey, what have you done?"
"What I had to," Qifrey answers, and the smile should be fond – I knew you'd figure it out – except there's nothing there, and it makes him dizzyingly sick. "Safety, relief, peace… they're all just emotions, in the end," Qifrey continues, and doesn't even flinch when Olruggio reaches up to lift away his glasses with one hand and light a pyreball with the other.
The warmth does nothing against the chill that rushes through him at the sight, because even back at the Great Hall he's always been able to find flecks of seafire in that blue eye but now there's… not even ice, because that would still be something but what he sees now is just – nothing, the same unchanging blankness running under Qifrey's voice since he returned this time.
"I was hurting, and I was hurting you, but now I don't have to be either anymore," Qifrey says, scarcely louder than breath, and gentleness must not be an emotion after all because Olruggio hears it bleeding through each word. "Can you be happy, Olly? For me?"
