Thank you HYDRA...for NOTHING!

It's been nearly four months since the fall of SHIELD and the Triskelion, along with the release of thousands of classified SHIELD documents by Captain Steven Rogers and Agent Natasha Romanoff. My guests tonight have written a new book about those events and their aftermath called: "Hydra Hunting: The Global Search for the Forces of Chaos."

I don't think there was any real information in the SHIELD leaks at all. President Ellis was in political trouble, and this was his attempt to deflect attention from his many, many failures.

The Triskelion was always a Washington eyesore. The SHIELD leaks simply prove that it was just as ugly on the inside.

Whether Romanoff considered herself a patriot or not, the fact remains that revealing that SHIELD was actively researching and building tesseract-powered weapons is a breach of national security and seriously compromises many U.S. diplomatic objectives.

The ATF conduct a raid over the weekend resulting in the arrest of six suspects. The group is believed to have been attempting to procure irridium for weapons-making purposes.

Wait, are you saying that HYDRA was helping Germany, or actively working against Brazil?

[Thor] could give us the Tesseract back as a clean energy source. He could make it rain a lot and cool things down that way. But if he's going to set himself up as an ancient god and a "protector of this realm," he should do something about our real problems.

All Scandinavian countries have seen an increase in American tourism since the Battle of New York. But one group has a new twist: They've come to Copenhagen to pray to Thor to halt global warming.

So it's the Fourth of July weekend, and the holiday seems to have gotten everyone kind of stirred up about the SHIELD leaks again. And we just have to say...it is so nice to see everyone in Washington find something they can agree on. Democrats and Republicans, both sides of the aisle have come together to officially declare that they are opposed to Nazis covertly taking over the U.S. Government. And about time, too!

If the SHIELD leaks prove anything, it's that the right to bear arms is more important now than ever. When the government comes knocking at your door, how do you know that "friendly" agent isn't really hailing HYDRA?

This Independence Day, take the time to read some of the SHIELD documents. If HYDRA could get that far into SHIELD, where else could they be? What more will we have to lose before we notice that the world we thought we lived in is gone?

Justice Ginsburg, if HYDRA has infiltrated the Supreme Court, look out your office window at 3pm tomorrow. We will get you and your clerks to safety.

Competing protesters at Director Fury's grave site this weekend briefly disrupted traffic near the cemetery, but both groups dispersed peacefully after the police arrived on scene. No injuries or arrests were reported.
