About the “Let’s La Maze Maze”: maze comes from mazeru (混ぜる), which means to mix, it’s especially used for… Cooking. Such a surprise. Very patisserie. And the La… I bet it’s because since it’s a patisserie themed season, we’re going to have french anytime, bonjour les baguettes omelette du fromage honhonhon (La is the feminine version of Le btw)

Cure Whip : Energy and Smile ! Let’s・La・Maze Maze !

Usami Ichika is a bright and clumsy 8th grade schoolgirl who loves sweets. Just like a rabbit, she’s sensitive and has the habit to jump whenever she’s happy. She always fails but… She’s confident with her sweets decoration’s skills !? She uses her intuition and her inspiration in order to create tons of Animal Sweets one by one ! She transforms into the Precure of the Short Cake Rabbit, Cure Whip.

Catchphrases : “Whip・Step・Jump !”, “I’ve got it brightly !” (キラっと is very difficult to translate, it’s one of those words you don’t need to explain in japanese, I believe there is no similar word in english, so I chose the closest one, brightly)

Cure Custard : Intelligence and Courage ! Let’s・La・Maze Maze !

Arisugawa Himari is a hard worker and a very smart 8th grade schoolgirl. Just like a squirrel, she’s petite and has fast legs. She’s usually a very shy person, but when it comes to talk about the sweets that she loves, nothing can stop her ! Since she’s a sweets warrior who knows everything about sweets, Ichika and the other girls always rely on her. She transforms into the Precure of the Pudding Squirrel, Cure Custard.

Catchphrases : “Sweets are science !”, “I’ll explain this !”

Cure Gelato : Freedom and Passion ! Let’s・La・Maze Maze !

Tategami Aoi is a passionate 8th grade schoolgirl who doesn’t care what people say and think about her. Just like a lion, she’s brave and aggressive. She loves singing, and is the vocalist of a rock band. She supports Ichika and the other girls with the brute strength she uses for the confection of sweets. She transforms into the Precure of the Ice Cream Lion, Cure Gelato.

Catchphrases : “I’m fired up !!!”, “WOOOH !!!”

Cure Macaron : Beauty and Excitement ! Let’s・La・Maze Maze !

Kotozume Yukari is a beautiful and noble 11th grade schoolgirl. Just like a cat, elegant and capricious. She always had a nothing-to-do boring life because of her great skills, but since the moment she met the quirky Ichika and the other girls, she cames to enjoy every single day. She transforms into the Precure of the Macaron Cat, Cure Macaron.

Catchphrases : “That’s interesting”, “Fufufu…”

Cure Chocolat : Strength and Love ! Let’s・La・Maze Maze !

Kenjō Akira is a friendly and boyish 11th grade schoolgirl. Just like a dog, she always thinks about her fellows first and takes care of them. Everyone rely on her whenever comes trouble. She lives apart from her young sister, who has a weak body, and Akira often gives to her chocolate as a present. She transforms into the Precure of the Chocolate Dog, Cure Chocolat.

Catchphrases : “Are you okay ?”, “Alright, alright !” (yoshi yoshi (よしよし) is like the “good boy, good boy !” you say when you pet a dog btw)

Pekorin is a chubby fairy who loves sweets, and an always hungry spoiled baby. Depending on Pekorin’s mood, the color of Pekorin’s ears can change, and Pekorin can also feel the energy who lives within sweets, “Kirakiraru”. Pekorin has always admired the Legendary Pâtissier Precure, and often tries to face the enemy, but Pekorin always ended up being blown away. Pekorin is good at imitate cats and dogs.

Catchphrase : “~ peko !”

(note : the peko of Pekorin comes from pekopeko (ぺこぺこ), which means being hungry)
