          there was a slight   L I E   in her words, yet her   P R I D E   lays in her voice  ( with no shattering tone, not a single hesitation in her sentence. but she could never forget what happened, neither could she ever forgive her father for what has happened. she sucked it all in, smiling through the pain that had been inside of her for the past eighteen years of her life. )  she can’t undo what her father as done; she can’t un-sing a song that her mother has sung. and the saddest thing about it all, was that he couldn’t even dare look at her right in her eyes telling her how sorry he should have felt.

          but now look where she stands  ——  before an old acquaintance. they’ve met before, she could never forget his looks. they experienced the same trauma ; watching a person that matters a ton in their lives disappear before their own eyes. she saw him there, back then. he was horrified just like she was. she sighs softly, brows knitting together, she speaks truthfully.

How the topic was even brought up was still a mystery to the blond. Maybe it was an itch he had to scratch for a while now, something he had to get off his chest, for he couldn’t bear it any longer. It was one thing that set Titus off, and just like that, a whole wave of emotions and thoughts came pouring out of his mouth. It was like a faucet that wouldn’t turn off no matter how much you tried-- it just kept coming.

❝ Move on? How can you expect me to move on! I can’t forget what happened-- I’ll never forget what happened. How can it be so easy for you... ? ❞ His breathing is deep and his words are shaky. Fists are clenched as to where the nails on his fingers are leaving marks in the palms of his hands. The poor boy is fighting the urge to cry, spilling tears out of sheer anger. But he has to be strong, he has to hold it off for just a while longer. He will never let Weiss Schnee see him at his most vulnerable.

It’s days like this that make Ozpin pause. Make him think. How many times has he watched the seasons come and go? How many times has he watched autumn replace the summer? Too many years, and nothing to show for it. No- thing but the false sense of accomplishment that comes from training future huntsmen and huntresses. Soft timbre breaks through thoughts, and for a moment calloused digits grip ti- ghter at the staff clutched betwixt them.Relaxes his hold as familiar features  come into focus. A man this old never forgets a face.

It’s not like he expected the headmaster of beacon to forget him or anything, but Titus was happy when Ozpin did remember his name and team. It filled him with a sense of accomplishment, to be a part of Beacon, to train in becoming the next line of Hunters. He felt important, like he was a part of something big, like he could really make a difference in this world. Yet he shouldn’t get too ahead of himself. One step at a time, Titus.

The days were getting colder  as of recently. The leaves on  the trees were starting to change color and fall. What was once hot  summer weather is slowly turning into chilly autumn days, and soon  enough, winter would be just around the corner.

His footsteps click upon contact with the ground, only halting when he approaches a familiar face. It wasn’t often Titus was able to see this important man, so he better make the most of the experience.
