A Praying Mama's Thoughts

 Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

Lord, I thank you for the excessive blessing in which you have bestowed upon my life. You have given me everything I could ask for. You have protected me from storms, both seen and unseen by me. You have loved in times where I swore no one could love me. You forgive me when I don't deserve it and you have never abandoned me, even when I stood in the shadows of the mountains and the valley felt like it was collapsing. You have always heard me, even when I couldn't use my voice. I don't understand the value my life has but I know that you sacrificed it all for me. For which, I know I have value.

Lord today I pray with you outstretched hands- feeling consumed by darkness and grief. Plagued with shame and sadness. You have defeated the enemy at every turn and I ask that you hear me- that I may replace these feelings with joy in your goodness. That I may experience these feelings and suffer well in your name. I don't know the purpose of this season of my life Lord but please let this season draw me near to you. I am drowning in loss and loneliness and I know only you can calm this storm. I pray for your protection that as I endure the struggle- that you may continue to bless my family and that your glory is shown in the end. May my children and generations to come, know you. May they see your love and know that they will never be alone.

Lord, I want less of me and more of you. I repent for "turning down" the Holy Spirit as I have tried to steward my own life and drove my ship into rocks. You are the carpenter of my life, please help me rebuild my ship. I repent for the decisions I've made and the actions that pulled away from you- I know I am so unworthy of your grace and mercy, but I am so thankful you have never turned away from me.

Lord, walk with me in my life. Guide me to be more like you. Please lord- help me defeat the enemy because this is Shame is from the enemy and not from you. Although I fall short, every single day- I am thankful to be a child of you. I am thankful to be a child of God and I pray that for everyone who is experiencing struggle like I am, for everyone who is suffering, for everyone who feels stuck- that they find refuge in you.
