there's not one of me in every universe, because apparently having meme guardians for Mario isn't exactly normal. the entire world i live in is barely the Mushroom Kingdom anymore, and we all survive off of whether or not the meme cycle runs correctly. So uh... we're not exactly Mario's running around, but we look similar to him at least. SMG4 and I, specifically.

Before this whole thing... He was my best friend. We used to do everything together. There's not single one adventure where one of us is absent.

I've been trying to free him for almost a year, and zero luck. The boos' grip on him were strong not even any spell could undo it...

...I didn't want to fight him; But after a... certain moment in my journey to save Dinosaur Land, I couldn't just give up. I... owed too much to a certain friend.

...But I failed to realize just how... fragile that bridge was. And he... he fell into the lava. I... I thought for sure I have killed him.

...I was... angry, at first. First, I lost a really good friend... and then, I lost the closest person I ever had. This was not something I was going to let Bowser get away with so lightly. He... hardly had a chance to fight back. And in the end, I left him a rather... permanent reminder of what he's done.

...But when all was said and done... I...

...I should've realized how my brother was feeling sooner. I should've reached out more. Helped him to see that he wasn't just my shadow; He was my brother- the best brother I could've ever asked for.

And the kingdom... Peach tried to be understanding, but... fear got the better of her. She became more strict, and less trusting. The kingdom's funding was turned towards security, and now, only I and Toadsworth get to approach her without her permission. And these changes... they seem to scare people.

And I just can't help but wonder... just how much of it is my fault, for being so blind about how Luigi felt. How I wish I could just go back in time and take it all back... So I could tell him how much he truly means to me, even now.
