as a secondary goal, i am also trying to save up for a self propelled wheelchair (my hospital wheelchair from my last fundraiser fell apart from being used on the streets), but this is a lower priority than getting the utility bills squared off and ordering my meds. i am fainting more regularly as my condition gets worse and access to a wheelchair would allow me to miss fewer days of work. the cheapest used self propelled wheelchair with my dimensions i can find is $500.

Hi bbies I'm hoping for a little help paying for car repairs ♥️ the estimate I got was $900, tho I'm taking it to someone else who should be able to repair it for a bit cheaper. Either way I'm going to have to dip into my savings to be able to cover this and... well I'd really like to Not have to do that since I'm saving up to move in a few months. These repairs are very high priority for me because I'm too disabled to take public transit!

as of august my landlord raised our rent $200, because she knows we can't pay that and wants us out of here. we're in the process of packing and finding somewhere to move but my mom is disabled and currently still recovering from cancer treatment/a mastectomy, so i'm pretty much trying to pack up the home we lived in for 20 years single-handedly.

i'm very, very scared that we won't be ready to move by September and we will flat out not be able to afford the new rent price, at which point i believe the landlord is only legally required to give us three days notice before evicting us.

my goal is to raise about $300, to cover the rent raise as well as packing and cleaning supplies while. failing that, i'm hoping just getting help with supplies can speed up the process! so donations of literally any amount would be incredibly helpful!

so a couple days ago i got a call from uc health that they’ll accept my insurance and that i should expect to get the prior authorization for surgery soon!!! they also think they’ll be able to write a letter of necessity to my insurance to get the hotel stay (post-surgery, not for my consults) covered too!!! and i’m overjoyed bc i’ve been needing this for a long time and i’ve been trying to make surgery happen for years!!!

though i’m super fortunate to have surgery covered, i’m still in need of help to pay for supplies for my recovery, food, for two nights at a hotel (for the two consults, insurance won’t cover that), and possibly the fee for the first consult. normally insurance would cover that, but my PCP’s office messed up the top surgery letter and it might not get to insurance in time to pay for it. for my mental health and overall well-being, i don’t want to delay this any further bc of a co-pay. the reason i need so much help is bc i’m on disability for moderate-severe intractable chronic pain, and my income is about $10k a year so i’m stuck in chronic poverty. (i’m hoping to start graduate school in the spring to try and break that cycle, and it would be great to start school not dealing with debilitating dysphoria.) bc of my chronic pain (& associated conditions), recovery will be tough for me so i want to make sure i have the recovery items i need to ease pain & $ for food to ease stress.

my 1st consult is on august 24th, it’ll be with a physicians assistant and i’ll have a 2nd consult with the surgeon. i’m not sure if i book surgery at my 1st or 2nd appointment. i asked about wait times, and the nurse i spoke to said surgery could potentially happen in 2-6 months!!! and i want to be ready for surgery at any time, like if i get called to move up on the waitlist. i’ll update this post or pin a post or something once i have the prior authorization for proof (i’m open to showing other forms of proof too).

i don’t wanna pressure ppl to buy something or send $ or whatever, i don’t want ppl sending $ if they’re like barely scraping by. i do wanna say that i really need this to happen for me and if you wanna help out it will be sooo very appreciated. i don’t expect to raise everything listed, i’m trying my best to not have to pay that co-pay, and i’m trying to see if i can find someone who has enough hotel points for 2 nights in the denver area (if you do, hmu!). the wishlist items + $ for gas are definitely my priorities!
