Note: While having free books is great, please also support the authors and donate to public libraries when you can.

Ocean of PDF: an online library. I downloaded some modern books here. (Such as 'The Cat Who Saved Library', 'Before The Coffee Gets Cold')

Project Gutenberg: an online library of more than 75,000 free eBooks. A lot of classics.

IRC ebook channel: a tech term that leads me to a rabbit hole of free ebooks.

The wonder of digital archives: we own things. Found some very interesting titles through this site:

3. I still have not yet find the **perfect** epub of Fahrenheit 451 (French edition). Had the pdf one but Calibre can’t convert it without merging the header’s content as a part of the text.

i already have an ipad so the guide is mostly for it.

how i read:

1. download the ebooks (of course)

pdf is okay for most of the cases.

if you want to adjust font size, line spacing, reading modes, etc., like on kindle, you’d need epub file.

2. import to your chosen app

for pdf you can open in almost any app, even the view file on ipad is enough to read, highlight, and take notes.

you can also import to Collanote for more functions like adding stickers and images.

bought two nail paints and do it myself. it chips lol of course cause it’s not gel just ordinary liquor but it feels nostalgically aesthetic ? lol.
