This isn't a bad film, it's just not worth having paid to have watched in the cinema. It's something casual that you put on with the family on a Saturday night, or watch in the background of cooking, revising or doing a hobby. Andy's irrelevant romance side-plot added absolutely nothing to the story, and in no way does this top the first film. Nigel is the best character by far, and nobody seems to have aged since the original. This wasn't a bad sequel that ruined the franchise, but it was useless and quite irrelevant, and the fashion was not very fashionable. I think it's also being put down as nothing can top the original, but there were some genuinely funny and interesting moments, just keyword some.

This story is so raw, subtle and authentic. The child actress was amazing and it helped make the film feel even more genuine. This one was quite close to my heart as I have a parent that suffers with mental health and it really does make you rethink every interaction that you've had with them. The cut of the flashing images of Calum at the rave to Sophie and Calum dancing on holiday is so sad, and the story definitely hits you like a brick after its ended. If you like sad, authentic films then this is definitely one for you, i cannot recommend it enough. Paul Mescal portrayed Calum so beautifully, and adult Sophie sat on the sofa watching the tapes back is heartbreaking as it's really up to interpretation what happened to Calum in the end. The side romances were slightly irrelevant, but it is partially a coming of age story so its understandable as Sophie is growing up and becoming aware of her dad's struggles.

A strange doorway appears in the basement of a furniture showroom.

The set and accuracy of the liminal spaces was insaneeee. I recommend watching this 100% but you will be googling theories and answers to the plot holes once you've left in confusion. I love all the concepts, like it being a huge MRI that scans brains when they enter and recreates parts of their lives without being fully accurate. Dr Mary does need to work on her stamina and ability to not break her ankle after having a minor trip on a sofa though, and please thank finn bennett for giving viewers something to look at.

Twenty-six years after outrunning a suspiciously familiar masked killer, the Core Four are back in the killer's crosshairs and no horror movie IP is safe.

This may actually be the worst movie I've ever seen, and the franchise should've ended after the first film. I understand it's supposed to be a comedy and parody of a horror, but unless you're a thirteen year old boy who's just had their first sex-ed lesson, then you'd probably rather watch paint dry. Unfortunately, the best two characters were the Wayans brothers and they maybe evoked 2 real laughs from me throughout the whole 96 minutes of this. There were too many characters, plot points and irritating actors to follow the story, or lack of. Do not watch this movie. If you see this on any streaming site, it may be the kick you need to cancel your subscription.

A young woman and her fiancé are in search of the perfect starter home. After following a mysterious real estate agent to a new housing development, the couple finds themselves trapped in a maze of identical houses and forced to raise an otherworldly child.

I definitely recommend watching this movie if you're looking for a creepy, disturbing horror with few jumpscares and no gore. The movie acts as a metaphor for repetitive, surburban lives involving the cycle of buying a house, raising a child, distancing from loved ones and finally dying, proving the hard work you've done to reach a goal in life as futile. The plot was a little lacking in having a point, but personally I liked the whole point of it being a metaphor. I will say though that the ending was very predictable after the baby shifts to being a child, and if you're looking for plot twists then this isn't the one for you. Moral of the story, don't trust estate agents.
