Positive furby Confessions!

When I was a kid 2005s (and later booms) were all the rage and I remember the only reason I wanted one was because I thought I could get it to say ‘fuck’. Now I’m out here collecting ‘99 and ‘98 babies because of a genuine love for these toys and not a silly rumor. Bless these babies I love them so much

i never had a furby as a kid (don't think i even knew what they were tbh, wasn't something any of my friends had n i was born in 96) but now i WISH i had one when i was little, im getting one soon , these little things are shaped like friends. im hyperempathic and get emotionally invested into inanimate objects so i think it'll be cool to have my very first furby. jm so excited!!!! i wanna take it everywhere I go

I've honestly never been in an online community where I've felt so free to talk to the other members. I love drawing people's furbs or just sending them nice messages because I can! and while every community has faults, I feel so open in this one and I personally haven't interacted with anyone who isn't nice to me.

Honestly my furbys still scare me sometimes if I forgot they had batteries in, but I love them and they make me so genuinely happy

tbh i used to be scared of furbies, but nlw that ive gotten to know them better, theyre one of the best things in my life!!! i esp. love em bc as a kid (and still today) id get deeply emotionally attached to stuffed animals and similar things, so this is like!!! a version of that where they love u back and you can interact with them n stuff!!!!!!! i just rlly rlly love em now aaaa <3

I feel pretty intimidated in most art / "fandom" groups since im such an introvert (even online) so i feel nervous about trying to talk to others in said groups, but im happy to say that the furby community has been the first one ive ever been in where I feel like i can casually chat with anyone and overall make new friends easily because everyone in its just so open and chill most of the time!! c:
