Random story about kid me: When I was about 11-12, I had moved to Hawaii with my sister who was in the Navy. I’d walk to school everyday and there was this island of land between roadways with a sidewalk in the middle of it that I’d walk through. And every morning, the giant Snails would cross from one side of the sidewalk to the other and back again at night. But other kids walking to school would step on them or throw them for fun. I got so upset seeing the dead and injured snails that I started waking up an hour early to go out and help move all the snails from one side to the other before the other kids would start walking to school…All creatures deserve to live. I was.. The snail whisperer.
