Hi friends I’m not dead!!! I want to get back to writing, but for now here’s a list of my favorite fics that I’ve read in the last year. 99% of them are smut because I’m a depraved soul.

1. The Penance Series by Delectate

     This is probably my favorite, no ifs, ands, or butts. I’ve read it 3 times because I’m always a slut for book 3 canon divergence smut. 

2. A Week to Know You Again by Em Dixon

     For those who prefer smut where Zuko and Katara are adults, this one’s for you! It’s well written and I enjoyed it very much.

3. When We Were Young by Em Dixon

     More book 3 canon divergence!!!! Em Dixon’s writing is superb, any of her stuff is great.

4. Tremors by CuriosityRedux

     This one takes place after ATLA canon and is actually quite sweet, developing into smut over time. 

5. The Island That Cleanses by DamageCtrl

     I’m not a huge fan of AUs as a rule, but this one stole my heart. It is very well characterized and the smut makes all the built-up worth it.

6. Piety and Trick Doors by Crushinator

     I’m just now realizing this is a companion fic to something else by crushinator but, uh, its fine! I thoroughly enjoyed it even without the main story. One-shot!

7. Thirteen Nights by wargoddess

     PLEASE NOTE there is a non-con warning on this one because it is an arranged marriage fic. I guess I’d classify this one as porn with plot and it is complete canon divergence. 

8. Any smut fic by jennibare

     I’m pretty sure I read all of her M-rated work in one sitting because it was completely captivating. 

9. Hypnotized by fictitiousburn

     A wonderful quick post-canon read.

Happy Zutara Week 2023, Everyone!!

(I'm still in the midst of a stubborn art block, but I didn't want to let that stop me from participating in the most beloved of fan weeks. I fought myself a lot in making this comic and I'm not sure I won, (I swear it was cooler in my head) but I'm tired of staring at it and at this point, I'd rather have it done than perfect. (making it perfect would involve starting over, so.))

~Festive Noodle!~ (Fire Noodle #13, Zutara)

The idea of Druk knocking over a Christmas Tree was actually the very first idea I ever had for a Druk comic. But I thought of it in January, so I had to wait almost a full year before it would make sense to make it as a comic. But the holiday season is finally back! 

I thought about trying to turn the tree into some sort of Solstice Tree so it could fit in actual AtLA world but it felt forced, so instead here’s a modern AU of Fire Noodle.

Zuko and Katara hunkering down at the palace because Zuko can’t travel in his condition.

Zuko and Katara agreeing that they’ll stay with each other no matter what it takes, because right now they only have each other.

Zuko and Katara locking themselves in a room together because they don’t trust the sages or servants in the palace while Zuko is still healing.

Zuko and Katara sharing a bed because she refuses to leave his side until he’s well, and falls asleep healing him.

Zuko and Katara exchanging forehead kisses, not for romance’s sake, but because they want to show the other that there’s still kindness and gentleness in the world.

Zuko and Katara coming to terms with the fact that they created a whole separate reality in the time they spent together immediately following the Agni Kai.

Zuko and Katara being forced to pretend it didn’t happen when Aang finally makes it to the palace and finds them.

Zuko and Katara drifting apart because they know the life they imagined with one another was a fantasy at best.

That maid is just living her best life, casually mentioning the dragon and watching visitors freak out.

Emma and Hook first kiss in Once upon time but make it Zutara~ This one is obviously set after the agni kai with Azula, in my head the dialogue fitted so freaking well! Druk worried about Kya. After all, he could breathe fire just a couple weeks after he was born. Kya was 7 months old and still hadn’t breathed fire even once! Druk knew it was his responsibility to teach her.

My most favorite part is when Druk and Kya are both all happy smiling at the “camera!” 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
