A human woman volunteers to save a dying monster race who can no longer carry their children to term. She meets all of them to discuss it and spends all night shaking their hands, not realizing they transfer pregnancy through touch. Towards the end she's looking like she's past due, and she has months to go before they're ready to come out.
The monster race is almost eldritch in nature, amphibious and translucent and difficult to comprehend. Certainly magical. But their numbers have dwindled drastically, and they’ve been forced to ask for the help of a generous soul. In order to transfer their progeny, they need to all be in agreement, and their discussion ends in them shaking hands.
The woman doesn’t realize they mean these terms in a very literal sense.
She assumes the warmth of the first handshake is the adrenaline. The anticipation and excitement of becoming a surrogate for such wondrous creatures. The warmth grows with the second handshake, and her belly starts to swell.
Sensing that the impregnation has begun, the other creatures begin to clamor in a desperate attempt to share their offspring. They begin to shake the woman’s hand two at a time, and her middle begins to swell rapidly into a tight, glowing sphere. It was all so fast, her head is spinning as she grips her globe of a belly and leans over. The adrenaline alone from the experience of such growth is arousing.
The creatures get her home safely, trusting her with their young without much supervision. Finally alone, the woman attempts to pleasure herself, reaching around the new mass that she can hardly wrap her arms around.
The knowledge that she’ll be growing for the next year with these strange and magical creatures brings her to the most intense orgasm she’s ever felt.

A parent that is too patient for their own good dealing with an extremely overdue child refusing to be evicted from their womb
When it’s time, its time.
They’ll come when they’re ready.
You say this to your family and friends constantly, even when your arms wobble as you struggle to push yourself up from your chair. When you have to sit sideways at the dinner table to eat because your belly is starting to distance you from your plate. When you’ve hardly left the house because too much walking has you winded. The doctor says you’re on bedrest anyway, you tell them. You don’t need to be out and about so much, it’d be bad for the baby.
Your belly is a sphere that rests on your lap daily, cushioned by soft yet strong hips that are more than ready for birthing. You wake up, do your stretches, then move to the sofa where you spend the rest of your day, idly rubbing your belly and cooing to your kicking baby.
You didn’t seem to bat an eye when your due date passed. It’s an arbitrary date, after all. So long as you and your baby are healthy, you’re willing to wait as long as it takes for them to be ready.
Your due date was three months ago.
Okay so imagine a model, she has a great career and loves her body. But one day she ends up pregnant with triplets. To her surprise, as her belly begins to grow massively, she realizes she still loves her body or loves it even more. She ends up showing up for several pre-planned shoots. The designers don't want the PR nightmare of firing a famous pregnant woman so they let her model. The clothes weren't meant to fit and tear at the seams, wrapping around her belly. But she makes BANK.
If you ask anyone who was at that shoot, they’ll pass it off as an artistic choice. But the reality was this shoot was planned months in advance, and her pregnancy was announced long after. She tore through every outfit they squeezed her into. Some of them instantly! No seam could hold against her intensified curves. Her hips were wider, her bust was bursting, and her belly-- the main event-- was far too monstrous to be contained. And that was only at five months.
The photos went viral and she became an art and media sensation. The world watched every interview and appearance she made closely, watching her grow even more over the next months. Designers clamored to make clothes to fit her, but they could never keep up with the pace of nature. She wore them all on camera anyway.
When asked what her plans were after the triplets were born, she said she wants to use her bountiful womb for charity. She’ll become a surrogate, carrying multiple children for potential families with no such luck as hers, and continue to model while raising her beautiful children.
Ife's "magic" is like an extension of herself and her energy beyond the boundaries of her body. She can enact her will on things in small ways; lighting a candle, making a streetlight go out while she walks by, stuff like that.
Her main weapon is a ribbon wand, but her weapon is also like an extension of herself. The ribbon is practically endless, she can have many, and do all sorts of theoretically impossible things with it.
Her Patron is an unknowable entity from something beyond the cosmos, possibly even something on the edge of reality. Her powers aren't something that are easy to understand with human logic, but Ife understands what she can do as easily as breathing simply because its an extension of herself.

I’ve got some questions about your fat elves if you don’t mind me asking?
#1. What is the average lifespan of your elves? And what is the absolute maximum they could live for given ideal circumstances?
#2. Why are all your elves fat? Is it Biological, Cultural, Or a mix of both? How fat do elves generally tend to get and what do they value about plumpness? Do elves suffer any drawbacks from their weight, like mobility problems/ health issues/ or fatphobia outside elf society?
#3. Why are the majority of elves female and female identifying? What is their bio sex ratio of males to females? If their where a masc identifying elf, would they basically count as the elven equivalent to a trans-person? (Kinda like terry pratchetts dwarves where their all male presenting, with openly feminine dwarves being their equivalent to trans-folk)
#4. At what age do elves undergo their pilgrimage to the outside world? What do they generally do and how long do their journeys tend to last?
#5. Are their elves who are genuinely interested in monogamy, atleast as a concept? Or would they basically be seen as weirdo’s by other elves?
#6. What are some major differences between typical elves and drow? What is their relationship to one another?
#7. How does elven magic work? Cause both of them say they need a connection to the earth or the abyss to work, so what kinda spells are they able to use?
#8. Aside from their pudgyness what other kinds of typical elven tropes do your elves follow/avoid?
Answering these under a readmore so the post isn't agonizingly long
1 -- The average lifespan of an elf is a couple hundred years, maybe 350 or so.
2 -- Its both cultural and biological, as those two things can go hand in hand for a species with a specific practice. Fatness is also a signifier of health in elven culture! Its better for them to be fat.
They likely experience some level of fatphobia from cultures that don't view bodies the same ways they do.
3 -- I also don't want to impose human gender roles on a nonhuman race. They do have words for bio genders! Basically just signifying who can carry a baby and who can impregnate. But gender roles in the human sense aren't a concern for the elves, elven cities are very communal and egalitarian.
Elves don't really see themselves as 'feminine' in the first place, that's a human rule imposed on them. They simply Are Elves, following Elven culture :)
(listen i'm nonbinary my usual approach is to throw gender out the window first and foremost)
The proportions are very off with much more childbearing elves than virile ones, on top of them having a very low compatibility rate with each other. This keeps the populations of a long-lived race that loves to party relatively low and in-check.
4 & 5 -- The pilgrimage is a choice, not a cultural rite. An elf that yearns particularly hard for a family may choose to leave and find a mate outside their community. I use the word "pilgrimage" because bringing a child into the world is considered an incredible honor, and leaving the close community for such a pursuit is considered a noble sacrifice. She will be sent off with a blanket for her future child.
6 -- Elves and Drow split off millennia ago, and their alignments are less so about "good" and "evil" than they are about who helped either faction. The Elves are in service of the Heavens, while the Drow are in service of the Abyss, simply because one had offered help and protection and power.
7 -- All beings are theoretically capable of using magic of all kinds. Here's a little infographic I made on the basics of the magic system a while ago.
Magic is simply another tool offered by the natural world.
But! Elves and Drow are the only ones capable of a very special kind of artificing! Enchanted items can be made by anyone using the magic available in the world, but only Elves and Drow can craft items that harness the pure power of the Heavens and the Abyss. These items are immensely powerful and capable of things beyond anything a mortal practitioner could do. (Aurora's crystal ball, in this world, is a tool crafted by the Drow with pure Abyssal power!)
8 -- I tried real hard to avoid the snobby racist elf of it all. Its a boring trope. These elves are glad to have visitors and glad to share their wealth and gifts with well-meaning guests. They aren't judgmental, they aren't "pure" or worried about purity, and they're fun. :)
