The surf world lost another legend today. Buttons Kaluhiokalani influenced generations of surfers and brought a contagious fun to the sport. RIP Buttons. 

Patriots Sign Fanene  The Patriots made another solid but not splashy move, signing former Cincinnati Bengal DE Jonathan Fanene. Fanene is 29 and big; 6-4 292lbs. He played both DE and DT for the Bengals last season. That is a plus for the Patriots, who know he can be moved around the line and show multiple looks. He is a very capable defender, but one who isn’t going to be a star. He sacked the QB 6 times in 2011 and 2009, which means he does have the ability to get to the QB. So far this has been a very Patriots approach to free agency by the Patriots. Nothing splashy, add people who will contribute.
