1) hit the bitch is not just bad when applied to reality and actual women (or men or children) who are domestically abused, it’s bad as an idea. the fact that hit the bitch is something that comes to mind in association with misa who (out of the two of them is definitely the least detrimental to just about everybody on planet earth) highlights the obvious double standard between the treatment of light and misa because he gets essays and analysis and fucking libraries of fanfiction redeeming him or explaining his actions and what does she get? lol hit the bitch

2) light yagami is not painted by the creators of death note as a good person and you’ve got to assume that anything he wants to do ever is morally suspect and if you’re agreeing with the character about whom the entire series was created in order to illustrate hypocrisy and inhumanity? then yes, yes your comment is going to be seen as morally suspect

3) misa amane had her parents murdered in front of her, was almost killed by a stalker, and then latched onto a figure that she views as her savior and the person who is going to make everything better. and he is not going to make everything better, he is going to destroy her, because she’s there and because he can. she does not need to be hit in the face. what she needs is a fucking hug and her fucking parents and to not be destroyed and yeah, she’s not real, she is a fictional character, but just like i’m sure many of you cried when L died (even though he’s a fictional character) i cry for misa amane and her tragedy and you may not understand or care about the character, but the fact is that having one of my favorite characters written off as a dumb bitch who needs a smack in the face over and over and over again?
