-Last post: I'm all for fighting true existential threats to the US. Nothing more. The continued production and technological development of arms is what I judge to be imperialist on the part of the US. (and Bush I means "Bush one", not "Bush-I" ["i" spoken as "I"]).
-Who cares about opinions?
Personally, I do a lot, but I think their beauty lies in the fact that they can be individual creations. All one has to do is listen and react accordingly, responding with whatever action seems appropriate, hopefully. Regardless, I encourage a place for them to grow and develop within one's own mind. So, I hope to provide topics and thoughts that tend to do this, that explore complex issues in the moment, on a grand scale, and one that is constantly growing: American politics. What does the US do? Who's doing it? Not to mention the myriad of stuff that goes on within this political world. Yes in the first post I was pretty biased but only after I supplied information that is indubitable. I am looking for strong evidence that clearly gives a view of American current trends (towards other nations and toward itself through politics) and then offering a reaction, intended to spark debate, or controversy if it's not cliche, or maybe funny, but ALWAYS if it's insightful or needs to be said. In short to the question: not everyone but they are important so I want them to flourish by providing information and thought. But of course objectivity is a myth.
To that last point, my personality and opinion is sure to show itself every now and then. So, some background on each. I'm a mild-mannered atheist college student with liberal tendencies. But important American ones as well. I'm a vegetarian who plays drums and piano and is obsessed with art and women. But I'm from the south, so love football, and sometimes miss hamburgers. I am ideally honest and clearly provoking, maybe of thoughts, or emotions, or debate, however. I believe all you can ask a man is he spend his day meaningfully, everyday, the best he can. America encourages this, but it's hard out there. I support public aid programs because we have the wealth to give to those who need. I am against too much spending, especially the military. Whatever, no one will read this. It's an opinion section so I can put whatever. Grow your thoughts y'all.
