it really frustrates me to see posts complaining about how difficult piracy is. you really can just google how to pirate stuff nowadays. if all else fails just download qbittorrent and scroll through the torrent tracker of your choice. you can literally see the files you're downloading and how many other people are downloading them on the torrent itself, it's very difficult to give yourself a virus if you're discerning.
this goes double for adblockers. it takes less than five minutes to configure a browser extension and it is worth it every time. if sites are detecting ublock origin (which is uncommon if you apply most filter lists available in the settings- literally just click the checkboxes and it'll do all the work), then look into tampermonkey and anti-adblock killer. again, it's less than five minutes of setup (with instructions on the site itself) and will ensure you aren't harassed and tracked by online advertising.
maintaining your technology is crucial for retaining your privacy and sanity (not to mention your DIGNITY) when accessing the internet. yes it can feel like a pain, but once you understand it you can do so many things. i haven't seen a youtube ad in over a decade now, even with the changing site design, but that's because i took responsibility for my internet access and looked into what i could do to take back some autonomy from these fucking companies. you can't let them beat you into accepting their shitty ads and intrusive trackers. the moment you decide it's not worth the effort is the moment they cash in on your frustration.
