They aired The Reckoning and Amongst Friends twice this week!
I have a few questions, please feel free to answer any or all, or none lolÂ
a) What is âthe truthâ Assumpta refers to? Sure, this may be rhetorical but indulge me lol
b) What was Brian coming over for? Heâd gone to the pub first and Assumpta wasnât there so he went to the next likely location?
c) What did Ambrose hope to accomplish by serving summons? If the case hadnât been dismissed he was putting Assumptaâs license at risk, condemning them all to community serviceâŚwhat? Surely the risk of them all facing legal prosecution wouldnât be worth stroking his ego.
d) How did they collectively decide Padraig should represent them? Why not Brendan, Brain or Siobhan?
e) They all arrived to court together but left in different directions? Courtesy of my husband going âWhere are they all going, they came togetherâ lol
f) Did everyone wonder where Peter and Assumpta had gone off to? Clearly they all seemed to split after leaving the courthouse, maybe for lunch or whatnot. But if everyone made it back to town and they didnâtâŚthe looks!
g) Is Brianâs restaurant ever mentioned after Amongst Friends? The seasons after 3 did not receive my undivided attention lts
h) How long would it have taken Fr. Mac and Kathleen to realize they were the only ones not invited to the wake? Eamon even asks about Shamie lol
***We donât get to see exactly how much Peter told Fr. Mac. How would he have approached this? Maybe Fr. Mac would have spared him and made implications which Peter could not deny? I would have liked to see this conversation, as when they walk out of St. Josephâs Fr. Mac does not appear immediately annoyed, maybe even a bit disheartened.
