Autistic Pokemon Character Tourney
Pokemon is a very beloved franchise in the autism community and has been for nearly 30 years! Naturally, this means autistic people gravitate towards the wide and colorful array of characters throughout the series. This bracket is intended to be a celebration of the characters we as autistic people connect with!
(GIF description: A GIF of Rosa from Pokemon Black and White 2 standing still on a bridge that goes over a river. Hail fall from the sky) Rules:
-Only include human or anthropomorphic (i.e. Mystery Dungeon) characters!
-Only include characters from officially licensed Pokemon media!
-Do NOT bring up ableist theories (i.e. βN is a zoroarkβ)Β on the poll.
-Remember this is all in good faith! Do not bash others for their headcanons or talk negatively about the opponent.
-Submission rules are in the form itself! Please give them a read before you submit.
-I wonβt include submissions for characters who often bring up trauma for autistic people, such as Ghetsis.
Notes:
-The mod for this blog uses identity-first language but supports people who use person-first language! I will not get into discourse about language (other than actively harmful terms like βAspergersβ) because identity is very personal and people should have the agency to self-identify with whatever suits them.
-This poll is not about which pokemon character is βthe most autistic!β Itβs supposed to spark discussion about our headcanons and reasons for headcanons or talk about potential coding in canon.
-I will try to include IDs for images, but they do tend to drain my energy especially on a large scale like this. If a picture does not include an ID, I very much welcome other people to provide them!
-If you want to submit propaganda, tag this blog! Iβll reblog it! Submission form: https://forms.gle/4s32Vcm9f2k4bwHB6
