Runrabit here, mod of this blog, I've decided to give brandy and sandi a soft reboot, now anything thats happened in their past blogs is either semi canon or non canon, some elements and characters and certain things still will be completely canon, but for the most part I'm starting fresh with them! New and improved :3

Noodle just trills eagerly, pawing at Brandy's arm with a happy noise.
Naveen rolls his eyes fondly. "Of course she would be. She's excited to see just about anyone."

Kieran stands in front of the Rust Syndicate office, swallowing heavily as he looks at Noodle where she's perched on his shoulder.
"S-Still can't believe I'm gonna do this, Noodle." He mumbles, shaking his head. "I mean... battlin' dad?"
Noodle chirps encouragingly as Kieran walks inside, bumping her head against his cheek. Kieran lets out a weak laugh at her behavior, walking to the elevator and pressing the button to Corbeau's office.
He looks down at the Pokéballs for his team, trying to decide who to lead with. "Hm... Dad probably has a bunch of Poison Types, right..? Just based on his Scolipede... Psychic or Ground would be good, then... maybe Foxglove..? I don't use Delphox much... she might like this."
But then another ball rattles, and he looks at it, recognizing it as his Hydrapple's. His expression softens as he takes it from his belt, holding it up. "... Orochi? You wanna battle?"
The ball rattles in his hand again, and Kieran can't help but smile a little. "... Okay. Against Scolipede, then. Dad wouldn't want me to hold back. And I know he won't be."
Kieran puts Orochi's ball back on his belt, the elevator dinging as it arrives at Corbeau's office.
Corbeau looks up from something on his desk when the door opens, and a small smile appears on his face when he sees Kieran there. "Ah, Kieran."
"Hi, dad..!" Kieran chuckles, walking inside the office and up to Corbeau's desk. "I... I have my challenger's ticket, now."
"Perfect." Corbeau nods, standing up from his chair. "Suppose I ought to thank whatever brought you here to Lumiose, kid. It was a pleasant surprise, seeing you again."
Kieran smiles a little more, nodding his head. "... I'm glad I came here. Had a few bumps in the road, but... it's good to be here."
"Now then. Let's get this started." Corbeau beckons Kieran to follow him to the back part of the office. Kieran sets Noodle down on the outskirts of it, before following Corbeau onto the sandy battlefield.
Corbeau stands on one end, pushing his glasses up with a small grin behind his hand. "I'm curious to see what you've got, kiddo. You hold your own pretty well, after all. Do you think you can win against your old man, though?"
"... I'm gonna try." Kieran murmurs, brushing those loose strands of hair in front of his face away. "I... I wanna show you how much I've grown up, how much stronger I've gotten!"
Corbeau just chuckles at Kieran's determination. "Alright. Show me, then."
Corbeau and Kieran approach each other by a few steps, their Rotom Phones colliding to confirm the promotion match. But neither of them pay much attention to that, as the two just stare.
"People... Pokémon... we all get covered in the grime of this world as we go through life." Corbeau muses, closing his eyes and shaking his head. "This city needs people willing to get their hands dirty, cleaning up all that mess."
"... I may not have been here in Lumiose for that long, but I really love it, here." Kieran agrees, nodding and closing his eyes. "And I'll help protect this city, and everyone inside it, just like you."
"For that, we both need more influence. We both need to reach Rank A."
"But only one of us will rank up today."
"Exactly."
The two open their eyes, staring each other down. Their serious expressions match to a tee, for a few moments, before the two break out in wide smiles.
"But for now, I'm just gonna enjoy my battle with you to the fullest!"
"And I'll do the same! Get to your position!"
The two both double back to their ends of the field, grinning as they whirl around to send out their first Pokémon. Corbeau sends out an Arbok, and Kieran sends out a Delphox.
They're both grinning as they call out attacks, beaming as their Pokémon duke it out. A Fire Spin, a Bite, a Psyshock, and a failed Toxic, and Arbok goes down. Corbeau sends out a Gyarados, and Kieran switches Foxglove out for Zinnia, the Shiny Ampharos letting out a bleating noise as the Gyarados charges at it with Waterfall.
The Gyarados dodges a Thunder with Bounce, but Zinnia hits it with an Ice Punch as soon as it lands, and then a Thunderbolt right after, though Zinnia goes down at the same time when the Gyarados hits her with Dragon Rush.
Kieran just laughs in delight as he sends out a Roserade, before starting to cackle outright when Corbeau sends one out himself. "Ahahaha! We had the same idea!"
"Seems we did!" Corbeau chuckles behind his hand, turning his head briefly to hide his snort at the sight of the mirror match.
Kieran calls for a Swords Dance, while Corbeau calls for a Shadow Ball. Kieran's Roserade then launches off a Pin Missile, which Corbeau's narrowly avoids half of while shooting off a Sludge Bomb. Corbeau calls for a Synthesis, but Kieran grins like a little maniac as he calls for a Giga Impact. The Roserades go down at the same time, and Kieran just beams at Corbeau.
Corbeau looks at Kieran's grinning face, and his own smile grows, despite his best efforts.
"Scolipede, let's finish the job!"
"Orochi, let's show him how much we've changed!"
Scolipede and Hydrapple land on the field, and Corbeau pushes his glasses up again.
"Scolipede! As long as you're with me, I can face any pinch with a smile!" Corbeau calls, grabbing his Key Stone, where it rests on the brooch on his jacket.
Kieran and Orochi both squint their eyes at the light of Scolipede's Mega Evolution, and Kieran stares with wide eyes at the sight of the Scolipede's new armored form, and the sight of its huge horns.
"Oh, wowzers... you're really not holdin' back, dad! Thank you! BUT I WON'T, EITHER! OROCHI MAY NOT MEGA EVOLVE, BUT HIM AND I WILL SHOW YOU HOW MUCH WE'VE GROWN!" Kieran cheers, throwing his hands in the air.
"EARTH POWER!"
"EARTHQUAKE!"
"SYRUP BOMB!"
"GUNK SHOT!"
The attacks fly fast, and hit hard. Despite the way the ground shakes, despite how syrup and sludge litter the field and Pokémon, neither of them seem to want to back down.
"X-Scissor!" Corbeau calls next, and Scolipede rushes for Orochi, slashing at the apple hydra. Orochi stumbles back, the two tails that stick out from the back of the apple having to push it back up.
"I'll show you just how strong becoming the Blueberry Academy Champions have made us!" Kieran shouts, brushing his bangs back and closing his eyes briefly. When they open, the light in them has disappeared again, and suddenly, it's so much more obvious how these two are related, with that stare.
Kieran swings his arm out, grinning like a feral Pokémon as he calls for another attack.
"FICKLE BEAM".
The Syrupents all poke out from the apple at this command, knowing what they must do. All the heads work in unison, shooting beams of energy towards Mega Scolipede.
Corbeau, for his part, looks stunned at the sight. "Scolipede, Protect!"
Scolipede puts up a barrier, and for a moment, the two moves clash. The Protect tries to hold against the Fickle Beam's assault, but it cracks, and then shatters. Scolipede is sent reeling with a cry, getting blown away. It staggers, trying to get back up, but flops down after a moment of struggle, the Mega Evolution fading away as Corbeau recalls his loyal Pokémon.
Corbeau stares at Kieran and Orochi, looking stunned.
He... wasn't actually expecting Kieran to be that strong.
"... well, that's disappointing. I wasn't able to let Scolipede fully shine." He murmurs, looking away for a moment. But he clears his throat, watching Kieran return Orochi and celebrate with Noodle, before his smile returns.
He walks over to Kieran, who is holding Noodle up and spinning around with the Furret with delighted laughter, just watching him celebrate. "... Look at you go, kid."
Kieran looks back at Corbeau as Noodle squirms out of his arms and stands at his feet, grinning eagerly now. The light in his eyes is back as if it'd never left, and he just lets out a startled little laugh of his own. "I-I actually won against you."
They both watch as Kieran's phone confirms Kieran's promotion to Rank C, and Kieran just runs a hand through his hair. "This doesn't feel real, honestly. Never thought I'd battle you. Never thought I'd win."
"Well, you did. And I see what you bring to this city, kid." Corbeau's voice is softer, now, as he compliments Kieran. "A whole lotta good."
Kieran looks back at Corbeau at those words, and his eyes practically sparkle. He slowly raises his hand for a fist bump, a nervous grin on his face. "... That was a good battle, dad. Thanks."
Corbeau stares at Kieran's offered hand for a few moments, as if processing the sight.
A fist bump. As if they're just some strangers who bonded over a battle?
No. That just won't do.
He smiles a little wider, grabbing Kieran by the wrist, pulling him forward, and into a hug.
"It was. You're making me proud."
Kieran freezes up at the hug, staring over Corbeau's shoulder with wide eyes.
This hug feels... different, compared to the others he gets. It's not Naveen's side-hug, or Carmine's included noogie. It's not Brandy's bear hug, or Sandi's gentle hold.
It's a little stiff and awkward, as if Corbeau isn't sure if he's doing it right. But the effort is there, and Kieran can tell.
Kieran's smile grows shaky, and he buries his face into Corbeau's shoulder, hugging him back.
Brandy and sandi where on the couch when the battle was just about to begin, brandy couldn't contain his excitement, shaking, grinning like a mad man, eyes sharp like a meowth's, while sandi was on the calmer side, still excited of course but admittedly nervous, she shook it off, belief in Kieran giving his all too strong to ignore, as the battle was about to begin, A certain ash from pallet town walked in..
" hey guys! What are you doing? "
" WATCHING MY KID BATTLE....OOOHH IT'S ABOUT TO BEGIN... C'MON SIT! you'll love it! "
Ash looked a tad surprised, but sat anyways, never missing the opportunity of watching a battle
" woah you have a kid!? "
" YEAH- "
" heh, it's a long story..- oh, its starting!! "
Sandi replied to ash before darting her eyes to the match, as it begun the couple automatically cheered at the sight of their boy, and by the look he was giving, they could tell he was really ready for this..
It was like those two where meant for the battlefield, the quick wit and faster moves..
Brandy was standing up, pumping his fists, shouting a mix of giddy cackles and hyperactive cheering, ash wasn't far behind, watching in pure awe, this kid has seen a lot of battles, probably grander ones at that, but things like these will never become any less impressive to him..
Sandi, meanwhile, was almost... Frozen, in a way, everything faded out and she was just focused on the battle, Kieran looked like he was having fun, he was okay.. It gave her more joy then anything honestly..
All the shouting even got some of the pokemon's attention, rockruff, whiskey, waver, and others.. Professor kuikui had to come up and check what was happening, he didn't say anything to interrupt, just watched with a bit of a smile..
And just like, it was over. Kieran...won
" KIERAN WON-!! "
And there goes the sound barrier
Both brandy and ash broke into excited rambling, not being able to stay still, brandy got so into it she suddenly picked up Sandi and spun her around, holding her tight
" HE WONNN!! THAT'S OUR BOY!! "
Sandi broke out in a contagious laughter, not bothering trying to hide her excitement either
When she was placed back down, sandi leaned on brandys arm, looking up to them and noticing...
" snrk..- are you crying?. "
" i- what?? No! "
Brandy responded suspiciously fast, wiping his tears away quickly, yet the mascara smudge gave it away
Kieran is going to fight Corbeau for his next promotion match.
