Red reminds me of prickly red roses and gentle poppies

Red reminds me of the taste of red wine

Red reminds me of crimson leaves scattering the streets during autumn

Red reminds me of a red moon during a total eclipse

Red reminds me of the carmine colour of blood

Red

What a lavish colour

But brown always held its weight over me

Her love is bubblegum love

Sweet and sour her tongues desire

Lord forbid a single mistake

Allowing her to swallow her fate

So she chews and chews until it's dry

Tasteless and bitter like unseasoned rice

She holds onto it not allowing it to die

Latching onto flavors crafted into a lie

Her love is like bubblegum

Chew it too long and it's dry

Swallow it and choke

So she spits it out

With silky flamboyant green leaves

Standing proudly over the discordant town

She's the centre of attention

But then winters cold frosty presence arrived

Her silky green leaves became frail and coarse

One by one her leaves withered and fell

Until all that was left was her crooked brown branches

She stood there dormant and afraid

She's ugly. No one will love her

Never again

All alone

If one of us were to die

Oh, truly do I hope it would be me

For then the consequences i shall not feel

And the lonesome night I won't have to deal

Gone, with the horrid voices that I hear

Telling me lies of how I could've been better, refueling my fear

I won't have to live without my flame

The flame that keeps my days ongoing, untamed

Should that flame extinguish, know that my lover has gone

And your voice will be another one I eternally long

Never to be heard by a soul nor ever to be near

Your warm embrace and your angelic face, so dear

When fate takes me, my love shall not cease

In the eternal realm, our souls shall find peace

Guiding light, my eternal home you shall Be

Forever bound by spirit, you and I

And if your soul were ever to be lost

My spirit will find you, no matter the cost
