I liked a more coy and sneaky splashtail and im disappointed that warrior cats is going for not only “extremely outwardly comically evil” but also “Comically Evil even if it doesn’t make sense” like killing your clanmates before you are, supposedly, going to declare war. would’ve been wayyy more interesting if we had just found harelight in a ditch somewhere. like now all the tension is kinda gone bc who in riverclan Wouldn’t be opposed to him now

there’s something so horrific about that scene in squirrelflights hope where she visits starclan and all her family members are acting weird. hollyleaf simply doesn’t care anymore that ashfur is in starclan for whatever reason. her parents are like “oh yeah btw starclan is going to put you and your sister on trial in front of an extremely biased jury and you may or may not go to hell” with no complaint. imagine going to heaven and seeing your loved ones and they’re just gone, like none of their fire or cares or sense of justice are there anymore. it’s Bad Writing that they’re so weird and out of character but it is the writing that Is There and it has kind of this cosmic horror to it
