i didn’t want to be lonely

I don’t know what it was exactly, or why. But all I can remember is one day you were laughing and I never saw you as ‘just a friend’ again.

I want us to dance in a room filled with sunflowers. I want to sip on delicious cappuccinos as we talk about the stars, and the moon, and the fact that Pluto is no longer considered a planet. I want to watch movies with you, and not only the good ones, but the really shitty ones too. I want to take long car rides to the strawberries fields, and give cute names to the horses and cows we pass on the way there. I want to take long walks, and discover a new hiking trail. We wouldn’t care if we got lost for a while, because we found everything we needed in each other. I want to do everything with you, even if it’s just sitting next to you.

I don’t know why I’ve held so much hope for someone who would never see that I am worth keeping for, worth fighting for and worth loving for.

If only you could see me in the same way I see you… I’d finally be beautiful.
