Hi,
I think it’s important to state that I am not a witch. I practice (I hope, anyway) mysticism, in that I work to attain, through prayer and meditation, viriditas.
Viriditas is the Greening, the creative power of God. It’s interpreted thusly by Hildegard of Bingen, my name saint:
Hildegard focused foremost on viriditas as an attribute of the divine nature. In her works the word viriditas has been translated in various ways, such as freshness, vitality, fertility, fecundity, fruitfulness, verdure, or growth. In Hildegard's understanding, viriditas is a metaphor for spiritual and physical health, which is visible in the divine word.
Some of what I do may look like witchcraft as tumblr has come to understand it. But herbs, candles, rosaries, saints, and prayers do not belong to witches alone. They are ours, everyone’s, and I invite anyone who is interested to attempt to encounter our Creator.
