I received an ask from @nightmares06 for one of the palette challenges, and as sometimes happens, I got carried away and it’s just it’s own dude now.

she moves into an apartment lived in by a young man, and this guy is not oblivious. he quickly figures out there’s a borrower, and he doesn’t confront her, just gives her space to do her thing alone. and despite how quiet tinies are, he does overhear her parents nagging when they come by, her friends teasing her for still being single. and one day the comments get a little too harsh, and the guy gets a bit fed up.

he strolls out into the living room at midnight, where the borrowers are immediately startled by him barging in. he just smiles. “baby, it’s getting a little late, you almost ready for bed?”

the butch blinks. “yeah… honey? let me walk my parents out.”

so the butch does, and immediately runs back to the man, asking him what the hell just happened. and the man explains no, he’s not interested or serious, he has a lovely long distance boyfriend in fact. but he knows the stress of your family trying to force the wrong love onto you, and he couldn’t help but step in.

from then on out, the two are in a fake relationship to the other borrowers. the butch’s family doesn’t talk to her about it, they are content with never meeting that guy cause he’s a giant. so the butch is left in peace to woo the fairy woman living in the herb garden outside. the guy is elated for her, cheers her on, and gives her the familial support she never actually had.

the tiny fat gay man who lives in my pocket: instead of getting the meal combo, just get the burger and fries. you have sweet tea at home, and you like it more than drive-thru sweet tea.

Their voice rumbles through you and you are hugged gently to thier chest. You sob, because that's all you can do.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."

HUMAN GUY: ".........what? I didn't even know borrowers EXISTED until a couple seconds ago when you just walked up to me out of nowhere!"

BORROWER GIRL: "Don't play dumb...I've seen your browser history! It's full of that 'giant/tiny' content! NOBODY searches for that stuff unless they know something, or SUSPECTS something!"

HUMAN GUY: "THAT? But that--that--that--but--I had no idea that that stuff was REAL! It was all supposed to be just a fantasy! Completely unrealistic! Like unicorns. I never thought for a second that tiny people actually--"

BORROWER GIRL: "What are you saying? You're asking me to believe that all those pictures of three-inch-tall girls being held and cuddled all cutely and adorably in giant hands were just--just--?"

HUMAN GUY: "Possible signs of some kind of repressed childhood trauma? Who knows? Anyone's guess is as good as mine. Nobody else was supposed to SEE that, though..."

BORROWER GIRL: "So you're trying to tell me that you had no idea about ANYTHING, and that I just came out and revealed myself to you for nothing??"

HUMAN GUY: [stares blankly] [nods]
