Maya finds Franziska to be... Terrifying. She's nothing like Mia or Nick. Which, in a way, also makes her strangely fascinating. She watches her in court, and part of her wants to meet her, but she knows that's a bad idea. Like, sure, she's got Nick to protect her if things went sour- but come on. The way she whips him up and down the courtroom? If Franziska really wanted to do something to hurt Maya... She probably could do it without much resistance.

So, she keeps her distance. Humans are bad news. She was lucky to find two nice ones.

Of course, the baddest news humans are Shelly de Killer and Matt Engarde.

Maya's kidnapped, Nick has a rough time, Franziska's shot, we all know how this goes.

Phoenix's precious item is returned to him unharmed. Hungry, tired, and stressed out- but unharmed. Franziska, halfway through storming off never to be seen again, can't help but notice.

"Jesus Christ is that a fucking gremlin?"

Phoenix denies it, trying to hide her, but Franziska does not accept the answer and readies her whip. He reluctantly reveals Maya's existence to her. She's terrified. Head down, eyes glued shut, shivering, her hands gripping Nick's palm tighter than she's ever gripped anything before. It's gonna leave a mark, if not break skin.

Franziska gets in close. Too close. Uncomfortably close. She feels compelled to study the tiny form before her. She's never seen anything like it and she's very interested.

Maya can feel her presence, feel her closeness. The warmth radiating off her body. Her soft breath, wafting over her. She cautiously opens one eye and is greeted by nothing but the overwhelming presence that is Franziska von Karma. For a moment, she is Maya's whole world.

But that's all it lasts for. A moment. A moment that felt like an eternity, but a moment nonetheless. It's over. Franziska takes her leave. The instant she's out of sight, Maya simply collapses. This is all too much for her.
