The list of matchups for the tumblr sexyman tournament just dropped, and Diplomator is up against a heavy hitter. Because of course he is.

Not gonna lie, I'd vote for House too if he was up against some random guy. But unfortunately I know this random guy. And care about him deeply.

So if we're being realistic here, Diplomator going into the next round is basically not possible. BUT☝️we always knew he wouldn't get far, and the fact that he's in the competition at all is already an accomplishment.

So if we view our goal as making people remember Diplomator, and remember him positively, we can still win.

I've seen many folks bond over hyping up their contestants, and many people who saw them started to warm up to the character themselves. This sense of community, of good sportsmanship, pure enthusiasm is what makes it fun.

So let's use the one week he'll be in the tournament to its full potential. Write the propaganda, draw the propaganda, talk to people, tell the world why you love this stupid jerk, let people see and understand why we want him in this contest, let them see why he deserves his rightful place in the sexyman lineup, and most importantly HAVE FUN. And then, just maybe… there'll be more dmo fans by the end of the contest than there were at the start.

But remember: in spirit of good sportsmanship, we are only hyping up OUR guy (and any other guys you want to hype up). We are NOT shitting on anyone else's faves. Uplifting who we want to uplift, but not making fools of ourselves by hating on people. Should go without saying, but just in case.

was inspired by all the times i’ve seen this done, here’s my interpretation of dmo characters as mlp.

i wanted to keep it as close to the mlp gen 4 style as possible, so designs are a little simple, though i think it’s a fun challenge to follow the canon constraints of mlpfim design lol

i put a lot of thought into this actually, if anyone’s curious about my decisions with design or cutie marks feel free to ask me about it, i’d love to explain more

side note, i think diplomator would definitely wear a cloak of some kind, i just didn’t draw that here for the sake of my own sanity lol
