I spoke a bit too soon about the screen name. Turns out it wasn’t PnpDoc. It was something else entirely. (Uh, thanks Twitter...)

New and improved: DrHighFun

(I’ll be using this on all the different sites going forward. I’m also on BBRT.)

It’s clear that Tumblr doesn’t want me or my content. But, I’m not sure where else to go. Tumblr was the perfect mix of identity and privacy.

What are people thinking? Where are you finding a home?

Of course you can submit videos but I don’t necessarily post all the videos I get. Pictures, stories, and appointment inquiries are also welcome.

My approach here is to first, talk about how it didn’t go well, and contextualize that within both your own experiences (good and bad) of partying, as well as your relationship with your boyfriend. Second, talk about what works for you when you party, your list of dos and dont’s, and why you want to share the experience of partying with him. During these discussions, you can judge his openness to partying again. If he is, don’t rush into it. Set aside the time to do it properly, and set clear expectations (Only the two of you or a group scene? Rubbers or natural? Etc.)

It is not clear that he will want to do it again. It sounds like there are some trust issues here, between you hiding your partying and a not-great first time. If you were to never party again with your boyfriend, how would you feel about that?

First off, keep up your regular routines while you are partying: shower once a day? Shower while you are partying. Brush your teeth twice a day? Do it when you are partying. Moisturize in the morning? Keep it up while you’re partying.

However, this may be one of your body’s signs that you’re pushing yourself too far and too hard. Only in special circumstances do I suggest that my patients party for more than about 48 hours, and even then, knowing when to take (short) breaks is an important part of our work together.

For #1, in the small, there’s so much wrong with the list I’d end up striking most of it. In the large, I think the entire premise of the post is mis-guided, and I’m not sure if there is a way to write that post in a way that is factual, ethical, and useful.
