Kafka on the Shore felt less like reading a book and more like reading 656 pages of poetry. Maybe because there is so much symbolism in this book, I couldn’t help but try and somehow connect the words he wrote to my own self like how Kafka was trying to make sense of Miss Saeki’s lyrics by relating it to what had happened to him. However, like him, my interpretations are too suggestive and I really don’t know what to make of it.
