Either I’m changing very quickly, and everything is standing still, or I’m the one standing still and everything is changing around me. Either way, I’m out of joint with the world.

I just have this happy personality and a sad soul in one body. It feels weird sometimes.

So, is that what you call a getaway? Tell me what you got away with. Cause I’ve seen more spine in jellyfish. I’ve seen more guts in eleven-year-old kids. Have another drink and drive yourself home. I hope there’s ice on all the roads. And you can think of me when you forget your seatbelt, and again when your head goes through the windshield. And is that what you call tact? You’re as subtle as a brick in the small of my back. Remember, there’s a difference between someone who wants to grow with you and encourages and supports you to be all that you can be, but loves you exactly as you are right now and someone who wants you to change because they don’t truly love who you are right now and are trying to make you fit into an image or idea of you they love.
