The Technical Detailsssss:

Upgrades:

Ok 1st off, the # of upgrades Sif and the crew got are based off of that # of level specific craft skills they get once at max.

Like Siffrin gets a total of 7 craft skills = 7 upgrades

The rest of the party gets 3 craft skills = 3 upgrades

Bonnie gets to participate bc its fun

Now for the upgrade progression, I was thinking in more of the ISAT story progression & how Siffrin gets stronger per act so:

Act 1 - Base stats of 2 blood cost, 1 power, 2 health, and Double Strike sigil

Act 2 - Gain Recycled sigil

Act 3 (beginning) - Gain Sniper sigil and +2 health

Act 4 (end, max lvl) - Gain Armored & Bifurcated Strike sigil, +1 power(2x), and +2 health

Act 5 - Gain Unkillable sigil (Unkillable overwrites Recycle)

Act 6 - Lose Recycle & Unkillable sigil (you're out of the loop now) and the rest of the sigils get permanently transferred to his base stats

As for the rest of the party:

Mirabella - She's the leader & main healer in the group (b4 sif took over) so we got:

Leader & Tactician sigil and +2 health (4 total)

Isabeau - Fighter & tank of the group, leaned heavily into the tank side:

+2 health(2x) (7 hp total), and Mighty Leap sigil

Odile - Offensive magic user that obliterated the sadnesses for me(till sif took over again), lowest hp in party(minus bonnie), was the most difficult to figure out for me:

+1 power (4 power total), Sharp quills sigil, and +2 health (3 hp total)

Bonnie - Child, smol, understandably bit weak compared to the others, back support of the group:

Loose Tail & Fledgling sigil, and +2 health (3 hp total) - (With Fledgling - 2 power & 5 health total)

Custom Sigils:

Recycle:

Recycle is a sigil that causes a card to return to the owner's main deck after death.

Now for Siffrin's Recycle sigil, I've have heard some ppl suggested putting Unkillable & maybe Ouroboros mechanics on them. I personally decided against it because mostly for balance reasons. (Memories of Infinite Sacrifice Strategies)

But I still want something for Siffrin that wouldn't be too overpowered from the get go. So, we got the Recycle Sigil! When Siffrin dies, they'll go back into your main deck, instead of directly to your hand, to find & draw again. Yes this does have the ability negate Starvation from spawning for a turn.

Healer:

Healer is a sigil that increases the Health of cards to the left and right of the card bearing this sigil by 1 per turn to +1 of max Health. This is true even if the adjacent card is inanimate, such as a Boulder or Gold Nugget.

So basically say take Siffrin with base 2 hp & put Mira next to him. Next turn, he'll be at 3 hp, and if Mira dies, Sif will still be at 3 hp till hit.

Tactician:

Tactician is a sigil that increases the Health of cards to the left and right of the card bearing this sigil by 2.

Again, it's similar to Leader but hp instead, so say Sif will now get a total of 4 hp.

Now but what happens if Mira dies? Normally with Leader sigil, the +1 power goes away. But if someone's at 1/2 hp before Mira goes, will they just dies will her? Nah they live, they'll be brought down to 1 hp if not there already.

Ok but now Healer & Tactician is little cracked with tanky cards lol since you can get a +3 hp to your max. WHICH MEANS, you can get max Isabeau to 10 HEALTH LMAO.

Design:

Beast Cards:

So usually whenever you do a sigil transfer, the card you transfer to will get the sigil(duh) but also get a new emission texture. The majority of them have something to do with the eyes, so ofc I wanted to mimic that.

Of course 1st was to fill in Sif's eye, but it felt a little simple and I wanted a little bit more with it, soooooo lets put smth on the eyepatch! Star!!!!!!!!

Now for act 5 Sif, the star does become red. I wanted act 5 to look different from the rest and red came into mind first, but my only concern with red is that it's usually associated with Ijiraq and Sif isn't Ijiraq D:<

I tried it anyways with a darker red, and while the eye highlights looked weird, kept the star tho, it looked pretty cool imo. I also added some red for the sigils too, tho the camera didn't pick it up well rip. Am quite happy with Unkillable tho :D

Tech Cards:

Ngl the tech cards were such a pain in the ass to make bc of all the tape & masking needed to do klajshdfkjahfsjdfhbhcjlbads. While I'm VERY happy with how the BGs turned out, I don't ever wanna do it again askjlfhdsakljfh. (spent at least 20 hours on just the BGs)

Other than that, the other hardest part was scaling act 5's sigils since you'll typically only meant to put a max of 4 maybeee 5 sigils. It's underscaled but honestly dont really care anymore lmao.
