I don't think the government should censor anything, but I think we as people have every right to harass and ostracize people who behave poorly (being bigoted, etc). People shouldn't be arrested for saying words, but they should be terrified that their town will hate them, and that they could possibly never have a social life again.

What a lot of people fail to understand is that being anti-censorship doesn't mean anyone should be able to say whatever they want with no consequences, it means that everyone can say whatever they want, with the addition that everyone else can also respond however they like.

I always hear conservatives go, "all these liberals are trying to censor me." No. Those are the consequences of your actions, under free speech. You have free speech to be a douchebag, and I have the freedom of speech to call you a bigoted piece of shit. Simple as that.

Imagine your F/O(s) blushing the first time you use what later became their assigned pet name. Baby, honey, pumpkin, sweetie, etc. and their cheeks flushed so beautifully you knew you'd found the right pet name for them.

I cannot begin to tell yall how hyped I am that this little tidbit of lore came out about him growing up rural on a vineyard. The whole wine snob thing is LEGIT now. I get it. My family/husband's family owns their own sugar shack - we do our own maple syrup. And let me tell you. We are SPOILED. You could not pay a single one of us to touch that drivel at the grocery store.

But the 'country boy' aspect is so great. There are Things™️ about growing up out in the sticks that I can toss into the mix with him in my own fics, because I done that myself.

Also, the mention of batstarion. I am so curious about this. We know it's a prequel so they are very unlikely to touch the game's endings, but it brings to question where this bit comes from. Cazador has shared his powers with the other spawn before, even does so during the game (that's how they can turn into mist) so maybe it's actually a thing with him when required? I'll be curious to see.

I do have the content warnings for the book, at least from one reviewer:

... And yes, I have questions. Most of this immediately makes sense. But I do wonder about the stalking. Is it Astarion stalking targets? Is it someone stalking Astarion? Something else entirely?

But the thing is: being stuck in an endless loop of mental illness for years and the continuously hopless lookout onto our real world and where society is heading, make it really fucking hard to not not fall into this alluring trap.
