I used to think capitalism was amoral - as in, in and of itself, it had no moral dimension.

Now I realize that, in practice, capitalism is immoral, because its existence as a system reinforces its own drive toward accumulating profit and capital, with all other considerations secondary to this primary compulsion. Those “secondary considerations” include things like the lives and wellbeing of people, and the ecological health of our planet. The drive toward infinite accumulation within finite conditions generates human suffering.
