Firstly, itās really hard to get help, and itās scary to reach out in such a big way, so good job and good luck to you :)
check to see what youāre allowed to bring with you and plan for what you want to take - I didnāt and didnāt bring ANYTHING good
Let friends know you wonāt be able to talk much - most places donāt allow internet/phones
Try not to spend all day in your room. Go to whatever groups/activities you can. Not only does it help to meet the people around you going through similar stuff (you may make a couple friends, even), but some of the info is really helpful, and the activities can be relaxing, therapeutic, and even fun.

Youāll likely be able to call/have visits, so definitely do that if you like, but donāt feel forced to see someone or talk to someone if you donāt want to/arenāt comfortable. Itās okay.
Remember that youāre not alone, and everyone there is either in a similar boat to you or is there to help you.
Hope this helps! And whether or not you choose to go, I hope you get the help you need :)
