Emily gave a small smile at Hanna’s curiosity.“I haven’t told anyone..not even Spencer.You are the lucky one who gets to know.I got into Standford with a swimming scholarship.“Emily whispered to Hanna looking every now or then around."But now everything might get ruined because of this.They may not even want me."Emily didn’t have a plan but she was willing to help."We need to stay very observant because that’s the only way we are going to get out.”

“Oh wow, what a great honour.” Hanna giggled quietly. “And what a great success as well. Go Emily!” Hurriedly collecting herself and thus restraining her excitement for her friend, she cleared her throat. “Em, I’m sure it won’t get ruined. They’ll definitely still want you. All we have to do is get out on time.” She tried to soothe her friend, pondering while she spoke. “You’re right. Definitely. Observant and perhaps a little experimental even. We have to find out what makes A tick in here, you know.”

Emily had barely come out of her room after the discussion that had happened before A made them go inside their rooms."How...?We can't."Emily said in a low voice.She was also very nervous to talk to Spencer.

“You’re right, not until we’re 90 or something.” Hanna nodded soberly. The mention of Emily’s scholarship made her ears perk up. “A scholarship? You haven’t told me about that! Where, what, how?” She asked excitedly, hoping A would either not hear or not get offended by future talk - if they had a future, that is. Pausing for a minute, Hanna tried to think before whispering back. Did she have a plan? Not much of it, although she had tried to come up with something. “For now, my plan is to try and pretend I’m accepting this. Maybe if we stay obedient, A will trust us more and let us do everything a little more freely and then it’ll be easier to get out. I’ve seen a door that doesn’t seem to be going to another room but I have no clue how to get it to open.”

"Yeah, I guess you’re right.” Hanna frowned. She certainly hadn’t looked at it this way before. “Death certainly wouldn’t suit me just yet. Or you, for that matter.” Breaking her cookie into crumbs, she nodded, shrugging nonchalantly. “Actually, they are. Surprisingly dewy core and everything. Honestly, I could eat ten of those.” She stated truthfully, briefly clearing her throat. “But that doesn’t sound very ladylike so I won’t.” Surely A wouldn’t appreciate her binging.

"Death would suit none of us Hanna,and let's hope it doesn't for a long time because I really need to get out of here.I have a scholarship and I don't want to mess it up again."Emily grabbed a cookie and started munching on it."It's kind of good I guess."Emily said with a shrug."Hanna...do you have any idea how we can escape?"Emily whispered.
