You’re a slow burning fire, you crept up, and engulfed me in your flames before I even knew what was happening. I embraced it. Time slowed down. The fire was in me now… And then it was gone. So here I am coated in your ashes, standing in your embers, wishing I never witnessed your bittersweet flames. I have but a flicker of life left that i must rekindle. And many wounds have already began healing. But in all honesty when all is said and done, I don’t regret being burned. These scars are reminders of my resilience. Proof that it’s okay to play in the fire. And reminders not to be scared to be burn
