Here is just one small moment in "Return of Jedi," a moment you could miss if you looked away from the screen, but a moment that helps explain the special magic of the Star Wars movies. Luke Skywalker is engaged in a ferocious battle in the dungeons beneath the throne room of the loathsome, Jabba the Hutt. His adversary is a slimy, gruesome, reptilian monster made of warts and teeth. Things are looking bad when suddenly the monster is crushed beneath a falling door. And then (here is the small moment) there's a shot of the monster's keeper, a muscle-bound jailer, who rushes forward in tears. He is brokenhearted at the destruction of his pet. Everybody loves somebody.

Writing Every Day - Day 1
I had an idea recently for a short film inspired by my painful work at a telemarketing call centre recently, and today was the first time I started to actually write it. I tried to do what I’ve heard is best to do when writing a first draft, that is to just simply write and write without editing it unless you’re fixing a spelling mistake. As they say, the first draft for most anything is crap. I think it’s good to remember that. The first draft is just the block, you can carve your masterpiece later. I’ve basically only written the first act. I reckon it’s probably a bit too long-winded, but hey it’s a first draft. For those that want a logline - When a bored and emotionally drained call centre telemarketer is connected to a severely depressed man on the verge of suicide, he must keep him on the line long enough to convince him that life is worth living. Constructive criticism for the script and / or the logline is very welcome. Here’s the script as I’ve written so far. I don’t know how often I’ll post my work. I guess we’ll see. https://www.dropbox.com/s/imhwgvggeb4s962/Helpline.pdf?dl=0
Writing Every Day (hopefully) Prologue
I’m going to try to use Tumblr more often, in the hopes of getting more out of it. I’m also going to try to do some writing every day, specifically screenwriting.
Here’s a bit of background. In 2015 I began studying film at TAFE for 2 years, where my enjoyment of film turned into a passionate love, and also where I met a man by the name Billy Marshall Stoneking. I didn’t get to know him very long, but he taught me so, so much. He was my writing mentor, and he played a big part in 4 out of the 5 short films I took part in during my time studying there. Billy was an incredibly passionate man, probably the most passionate man I’ve ever met, and while I didn’t always agree with him, I always got on with him and found him quite inspiring. I think he was an important figure in an important time in my life, in that he was truly passionate, knowledgeable and fascinating as a person, and moreso than anyone else I ever looked up to, he truly believed in me. I learned to my shock that Billy passed away in his sleep soon after the production of the 5th short film, the first one I worked on that Billy was in no way involved. It was a shock, I’ve never really experienced a death before, and Billy was something I had sort of planned my future around. All these plans, hoping he would be there to guide me and encourage me and teach me. Alas, the Universe took him away and I was to make do with what he had given me, which I soon came to realise, was still a lot to work with. This isn’t really about Billy, at least I didn’t mean for it to be, but he’s always going to be in the background, I think. Regardless, I couldn’t talk about this journey without talking about Billy. I’ve decided, I want to be a screenwriter. I intend to read a whole lot more books, to help develop my writing, read a lot of scripts, study film and story structure, and perhaps most importantly, write something every day. To help encourage myself, I’ve decided I’m going to try journalling this journey, updating it often about my attempts to become a great screenwriter. I don’t want fame, I don’t expect money, I may never get anywhere with it, but I thought it might be worth sharing. I hope if anyone finds this little place, that they take something out of it. Maybe it’ll be fun to read, maybe you’ll be inspired in your own way, whether you want to write, or paint, or make music, or puppet shows, or you’re just really into your fanfiction. I hope to find some like-minded people here and just enjoy myself. I don’t know what else to say but ‘Enjoy’. Sidenote: This place is not going to be exclusively about my own writings. I will probably be talking about films and music I’m into or whatever else I feel like posting about.
It’s so easy to laugh, it’s so easy to hate. It takes strength to be gentle and kind.

Last year Clarence Clarity released his debut album "No Now", a bizarrely experimental concoction of disjointed, dense R'n'B music with a snarky, yet sinister edge, and I absolutely loved it. He's shown incredible potential and I can't wait to see what he does next.
This song is his newest single, presumably from an upcoming second album. Clarence Clarity produces what is musically his least chaotic and noisy and most lyrically emotional and vulnerable, resulting in a departure from his earlier work, but still maintaining his unique sound and creative mind.
This guy came out of nowhere and has not stopped impressing me for even a minute, I definitely recommend giving his music a try.
An absurd dark comedy, starring a killer Wheelchair!
Meals For Wheels is a short film written and co-starring Tom North, a paraplegic film student at Sydney Institute Film Academy aiming to open up the kind of roles available to, and stories told about, people in wheelchairs. It will be the graduating film for the whole main crew.
The majority of the film will be shot in Tom’s hometown of Blacktown, presenting a different image than the area has traditionally received on camera.

I have no idea how reblogging works.
here’s what the seventh doctor has to say
and like
and remember when that alien was trying to disguise herself as a human but she drank the Doctor’s blood?
but let’s not forget how it says it in the first episode of the entire series
I must play devil’s advocate on that last one though: the phrasing addresses the Doctor’s place of birth, but not necessarily the question of his species as well. After all, the Whoniverse is replete with human beings who weren’t born on Earth but on
I believe the earliest reference that indicates that the Doctor definitely isn't human is in Spearhead From Space, where he is revealed to have non-human DNA. The War Games is when he is first called a Time Lord, but until Spearhead From Space that could've been the name of a select group of humans that colonised another planet.
