Umm I don't usually reblog things on my art blog, but this is beautiful and so important. So many people wish they "could" draw or paint, (or do anything artistic, really) but they don't even try out of fear of being "bad" at it. Art is one of the simplest and purest ways to make yourself feel better. You don't need to impress anyone. If it makes you happy, do it for you. "But I can only draw stick figures/flowers/swirly designs/that weird pointy S thing that all 5th graders just mysteriously know how to make!" Draw them all day. Try drawing new stuff if you want. Draw what you see. Paint non-objective designs with all your favorite colors and put it on your fucking wall, because I bet it looks fantastic and you probably had so much fun making it.

Unfortunately, there wasn't enough time to get a picture. :( Lana didn't look at it at the signing event because it was in a plastic folder thing, but she does have it now! And goddd, I hope she likes it. It means absolutely everything to me that she has something I made for her. ❤️ Someday I'll give her a drawing in person!!
