This weekend I realized that my work will have two major categories of emphasis: traditional urbanism (the timeless methods of city building in favor of human scale places) and tactical urbanism (a targeted, small-scale approach to fixing and humanizing urban landscapes). Each of these run counter to business as usual, which tends to emphasize projects without a human scale.
