The whole conformity gate theories make me so sad. People are setting themselves up for HUGE disappointment.

It makes absolutely no sense for the Duffers to make S5 open ended if they’re going to shut down fan interpretations. The fans interpret it as El is alive and Mike will one day find her, and the the Duffers go on and say “no no no”. Like really?

Mike’s ending is worse than if he would’ve just died.

I’m feeling very similar to how I felt after reading The Fault in Our Stars & Divergent in middle school. I am a college student now. This is not ideal. I never wanted to feel that way again.

I don’t think I’ll ever be able to rewatch this show now that I know Eleven’s ending. It would be too heartbreaking.

I can’t even look at old Mileven content anymore. It makes me too sad.

I finished the finale 9 hours ago. I am still thinking about it. There is an ache in my chest. El was my favorite character. I actually hate how they left the ending up to interpretation. I can’t believe they actually went that route. After everything she went through, everything she did to protect everyone, after risking her life numerous of times. After all that, her ending was always going to be death? Now I understand why MBB was so detached from this season (her acting was totally fine, just with promoting the show, interviews, etc).

Is it considered endgame if it ended with them 😭

I cannot with this fandom sometimes. When vol 1 came out, certain fans were all “Mike Wheeler is SO back!” and were loving him. Then when vol 2 came out, and a certain ship didn’t happen, they started calling Mike an a*shole and claiming character assassination.
